Is it true that the sequoia lodge breakfasts are cereal, rolls, cold meat? No hot breakfast?

Where can I find a menu for all the hotels?
Or does anyone know what hotels serve hot breakfasts please?
Thank you

Hiya

I have stayed at Sequoia lodge, Newport bay and Santa Fe and the buffet breakfasts there are the same. They consist of:
Bread rolls
Cereals (lots of choices)
Ham
Cheese
Butter / spread
Jam
Nutella
Marmalade
Toast
Croissant
Pain au chocolat
Orange juice
Tea
Coffee

It's quite a good cold buffet, plenty to fill up on and of course it's unlimited.

I'm not sure about any of the other hotels (like hotel New York or Disneyland hotel) but If you are after a hot breakfast you'll need to head to cafe Mickey or one of the other places in disney village.

Last time I visited was October 2012 so hopefully this is up to date.

Hope this helps.

Only Hotel New York and Disneyland hotel offer hot items. But I remember you could pay extra for hot items in sequoia lodge.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the DLH, and whilst there are meant to be hot foot on offer from the buffet, very rarely was anything hot.

I saw the "chef" place new pancakes out one morning, thought to myself "I'll grab some of those before they go cold".

They were FRIDGE COLD still. I told him and he laughed nervously. Even ordering various eggs from the kitchen, they were coming out cold. Gave up complaining in the end.

Breakfast in all the hotels except HNY & DLH are of a very poor quality and limited choice. The quality and choice improves at the latter 2 hotels, but it's not at a 4* or 5* standard.

at the sequoia lodge you should find a little hot breakfast items menu at your table when you are seated - you can order those from your waiter at an extra charge (its something like 4 euros for a plate of hot breakfast items there).

SL and NPB have a superior selection than SF and Cheyenne, they have fresh fruit instead of tinned, a better selection of breads and pastries and more choice of cold items. You can pay extra for a hot breakfast - can't remember the price! In all 4 of the cheaper hotels you can sometimes choose to have your breakfast in the park at Plaza Gardens or Pinnochio and then it's the same standard as SL breakfast. HNY have bacon, sausages and eggs as hot items and DLH also has pancakes. :thumbsup2

Worth bearing in mind that most people in europe would not dream of eating a hot cooked breakfast. Here in Holland, bread, cheese and ham are pretty much standard breakfast items.

I dont think the breakfasts are of poor quality. They are just continental. There is normally a range of 3 cereals, 2 breads, pastries, cold cuts, fruit (tinned or otherwise), coffe, tea, hoc choc, apple and orange juice. Even the 2 cheyenne and santa fe offer all of this.

We have stayed in every hotel apart form NB, including Castle Club and have eaten a good breakfast in every hotel

(how hectic it can be is a different matter lol)

I would also reccomend Annettes Diner for a good cooked American Breakfast and at only around 10 euro, its very good value imo.

You don't get flavoured yoghurt pots at cheyenne or sf either just help yourself natural yoghurt.

I think you just had a bad experience.
I visit DLP about 8/9 times a year, and every time on the first morning I'm having breakfast at the DLH.
And the entire "hot breakfast" section is always actually warm/hot whenever I'm there.

Same hear when I stayed at the DLH the good was hot. Also i find plenty of choice to eat at the SL, especially for a continental selection

Fab thank you, as long as there's a choice for a hot breakfast I think that will be fine especially as we're going in the winter.
