Do they serve breakfast at all on disembarking day? What time do you need to be off the ship? Should I make a ressie at a resort that morning?

We just returned today from the 3/23 sailing of the Magic. Breakfast today was based on your dinner seating - those who had first seating during the cruise who wanted a full "seated" breakfast this morning had to do so at 6:45am. Those with second seatings had to do so at 8. If you didn't want to go through that, one could get a "cold" breakfast up on deck 8 starting anytime after 7. Everyone was told they had to be off the ship by 9 (we got off around 8:40). Any other questions, let me know. ;)

Yes, they serve a full breakfast on the last day. You go to the same restaurant and table you were scheduled to eat dinner on the previous night. Your full waitstaff will be there also.

If you have the Main seating for dinner (6pm) you will be scheduled for breakfast at 6:45am.

If you don't want to eat a full breakfast in the dining room at that hour, you can also go to the Buffet Restaurant on deck 9 for a Continental Style meal.

Room service is not available on the last morning.

They would like everyone off the ship by 8:30am, but you can leave as soon as the ship has cleared customs. On my last cruise in January, I was in the parking lot with luggage loaded and headed on my way by 8:30am.

I can't help you with the last question about a resort, there are a lot of variables involved, like when do you leave for home, are you driving or flying home, your budget, etc etc.

I heard that there is a different procedure for non US citizens , (ie: Canadians) for the last day, Can anyone please verify this and give us the information, Thanks, we leave April 27

Non-U.S. citizens need to report for Immigration inspection at an unholy hour on the last day. This is a procedure similar to what the entire ship currently has to do on Saint Thomas day. Your passport will be impounded when you check in for the cruise. It will be returned to you just before reporting to Immigration.

The buffet breakfast is advertised as continental, but you can get scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes along with the normal cold breakfast foods. It was fine for us since we could not get up for the 6AM normal dining room seating. We were out of our room by 8AM, and were not rushed. We were at the AKL by 11:30AM and our room was ready. Great ending to a great cruise.
This was in May 2001.
