Ive been looking into which breakfest i should get? Bomas or Ohanas? Ive heard of the cheesy patatos at ohanas, but theres the really good juice at boma?

So which do you like better
Thank you

Boma, no question. I don't think the two restaurants are even comparable, unless you are determined to dine with characters. I think Boma offers the best breakfast on property.

That is what my picky 8yo nephew says about Boma "Boma is awesome". So awesome that we returned there as cash customers on our last Free Dining trip. Trust me, I wouldn't pay OOP for just any extra meal, this place is indeed wonderful.

Jungle Juice or Frunch is a must
French Toast is so good you can eat it without syrup, though there is warm syrup available.
Nephew loves the Chocolate Chip muffins...lol
Roasted tomatoes are simple, but so fresh and amazing
Pap is comparable to grits, but not as grainy

I have never seen cheesy potatoes there, roasted red potatoes are on the bar. They have omelttes mad to order that can include cheese, scrambled eggs both w/and w/o cheese.

Boma.

The only reason I would eat at Ohana's again is if I had a Stitch crazy kid. The food is mediocre, limited menu served family style. Honestly I cannot remember any cheesy potatoes there :confused3

If you are basing it on food, definitely Boma, yummo! Ohana's is a fun charactor meal, good, but typical breakfast food.

Boma definitely has the better food.. it is absolutely delicious. But if you're interested in characters, the food at 'Ohanas is good too :goodvibes

Been to both, Boma for sure. Actually entire family did both last trip and we all agree we would not do Ohana again, but loved the food at Boma.

I did Ohana breakfast years ago with just DS and was nice enough thought it would be treat for whole family last trip.
Ohana had nothing special to eat, I do not recall any cheesy potatoes.
We were seated very close to our ADR time and one of the first ones in "room".
They then waited until the entire room was full before bringing food out. I think we sat there 20 minutes or more before any food arrived. Getting more food was nearly impossible.
No characters arrived until after the food and moved extremely slow, so much so we left before seeing the last one. You can meet all of them elsewhere so the characters were not really a plus.

So glad to hear all these great comments about Boma, we will be eating breakfast there in a little over a week. We are so excited, we have never eaten there before. WOOHOO!!

Had breakfast at both on consecutive days in May (Boma on the 18th and 'Ohana on the 19th).

I have to say I thought the food at 'Ohana was VERY good, but FYI, the potatoes were definitely not cheesy--they were outstanding, definitely the best thing we had and we all had seconds and thirds, but they weren't cheesy (they were some sort of white potato, skins on, roasted with herbs). As people have said, it's a limited menu. Good food, but the point is more the characters. Boma has a good variety of food, also all great. Both places do have special juice.

I would say that if you were going by *only* potatoes, the potatoes at 'Ohana were a tiny bit better than Boma's (which were still very good), but the rest of the food beats 'Ohana hands down. I'd say Boma has better food overall and a better atmosphere, but 'Ohana is a nice choice if you want to eat with the characters that are there.

We like both Boma & Ohana breakfasts. As everyone has stated, Boma has the better food - so if that's your primary consideration then go with Boma. We would choose Ohana over Boma - we enjoy character meals and Ohana is alot of fun - Pluto & Stitch put on quite a show!

Ohana.. nope, no cheesy potatoes. As for good potatoes, Playhouse Disney breakfast and Akershus - ohhh, love both of their potatoes!!

Just returned and did both.
Ohana we love, and love the characters. Their juice is yummy too - though think Boma's was a touch yummier!
Also.. Ohana's.... we always wait forever to get seated.
We like the change from buffets, that it's served family style.

Boma - really enjoyed it. Seated right away, juice yummy, great selection. Everything was good. Had more variety than Ohana's.

If not into the characters, then probably would say try Boma out.

Never been to Boma, but Ohana was my favorite breakfast at WDW. We had juice at Ohana & Donald's Safari at AK and they tasted similar.

Ohana has good food, just not as wide of a selection as Boma.

Ohana has the character interaction; Boma is quiet and you can eat and get out rather quickly.

I don't eat a lot at b-fast so I'm fine w/Ohana. DH loves a good hearty, ea-till-you-die b-fast so he loved all the choices at Boma.
