We plan on touring/hiking Diamondhead first thing in the morning at ‘rope drop’ 🤣🤷‍♀️😉and then having breakfast nearby. We’re thinking that we will leave the car parked in the Diamondhead lot and then walking to a breakfast place. Does anyone know of someplace within walking distance of Diamondhead? Or should we just drive? Not sure what street parking is like closer to Waikiki.

Head over to Koko Head Cafe, in Kaimuki. It’s directly north of Diamond Head, just across the H1 freeway. Plenty of parking in the little shopping center nearby, and street parking is available also.

there’s always a wait to get in, but it’s worth it!

Oh - if you’re going to be there on a Saturday, there’s lots of YUMMY foods at the Diamond Head Farmers Market (KCC Farmers Market officially).

that’s the only thing I can think of in walking distance. Besides my old jr. high school - not sure you could get into the cafeteria though! 😊

Diamond Head Market has great to-go options - don’t miss the blueberry scone. You could pick up breakfast and eat on the grassy lawn at KCC.

Parking is really at a premium inside the crater. I would recommend taking your car with you to breakfast to allow another tourist to park in the crater.
