We are not early morning people at all, will be on West Coast time the first day we arrive, and we have first seating for dinner both on the 3-day Wonder and 7-day Western Magic. From what I read, breakfast time is based on dinner seating - there's no way we'll be ready for breakfast any earlier than 9 or 10 AM and even later the first day or so. So, I suspect the dining room is out for us. What are our other choices?

The only day(s) you have a scheduled time is for the last morning, and whatever day your character breakfast is--if you are on a 7 day. I don't think they do a character breakfast on the 3- and 4-day cruises. You can eat a buffet breakfast at the buffet on deck 9, or have a more formal type breakfast at the main dining room deck 3 midship. You can also order room service at any time, with the exception of the last morning.

Don't you worry about being on west coast time the first day, a lot of others will be in the same boat.....pun intended!

I'm glad to hear we'll get fed - my normally good natured DH turns grumpy without a good breakfast - donuts and pastries won't do it for him.

What time is the latest seating for breakfast? Can we go to the buffet and take it back to the room?

As above, the only day breakfast is scheduled is the last day, and the character breakfast day if you choose to attend.

You can always go to the buffet--yes, you can take a tray from the buffet to your cabin. You can also order room service--put the tag out the night before and your breakfast will arrive at the time you specify. There is open seating breakfast in Lumiere's every day except the last. Breakfast ends at different times in different places. It is served somewhere till 10 or 10:30 every day. The specifics are in the Navigator each day.

You don't really have a "seating" for breakfast--you just go. I believe Lumiere's stops seating at about 9:30. Topsider's is open a little longer.

Absolutely you can bring it back to the cabin. One cruise we were almost directly below the buffet and did that nearly every morning.

For times, from my last navigator:

Deck 9 drink station(coffee/pastries) 6:30a to 11am
Deck 9 Buffet: 7:30am to 11am
Triton's/Lumiere's(full service sitdown): 8am to 9:30am
Parrot Cay(also buffet): 8am to 10:30am

Times may vary slightly.

MarkRG - Thanks for the detailed times and info.

As often happens on the first few days of our vacation, I envision myself and 11 year old DS eating our breakfast in the dining room or at the buffet before bringing my husband his breakfast in bed :-).

We did a little bit of everything. I think at least 3 days I put out a room service order. It was like an extra wake up call and made sure we ate before we left (I made sure to do this on CC day). We also ate at the buffet. My parents ate at Lumieres once and then did it almost every day after--my dad was in love with the eggs benedict.

So, let me see if I understand this. We are scheduled for early seating on the Wonder in February. Can we just get up and go to the dining room for breakfast at any time (during the scheduled breakfast times, of course)? We don't have to be there at a certain time for breakfast (except the last morning)?

Yes?

Yes, that is correct. Breakfast has no designated times. In the dining rooms you will have a sit down breakfast and order from a menu. (Waffles are shaped like Mickey). If you go to the buffet they have an omellete station as well as many other selections - anytime you want (during breakfast hours).

You can also call room service and have Krispy Kreme's (as well as other items) delivered with coffee and juice and such to munch on while getting ready. What a great way to watch the ship dock in St. Maarten from your verandah with the sun rising. When am I going back????

We ate at the beach blanket for breakfast each time and found it to be chaotic, hard to find a table, etc. Where are the most peaceful breakfast areas?

Sounds great to me. We always eat in the dining room on a cruise, so it's great to know we can go when we're ready and not have to be there at 7:00 a.m.

Thanks for the info!!

I would think that Lumiere's/Triton's would be the most peaceful. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe CM's seat you at both Parrot Cay and L/T. PC is a buffet so you still need to get up and get your food, while at L/T you order off the menu and the servers bring your meal to you.
