We are staying at DLH for the first time, starting tomorrow! We have stayed at the GCH in a suite, and we used a car service that stopped for a few groceries that time (and we did concierge level that time, so needed less food, but we won't be doing it this time). I want to get a few breakfast items like maybe muffins, granola bars, milk somewhere at or near DLH. Since it is not DVC, I didn't know if the gift shops in DLH stock food? We will not have a car and will Uber from airport, so no stops.

Does the Small World gift shop sell food items? Anyone have recent photos of that shop's food section? Or is the shop in GCH better for food? Photos? It has been 3 years since we've been to DLR, so my memory is foggy (had to try Aulani and Disney Cruise line in between those years!).

Thanks!!

Most food over at Grand Californian, at White Water Snacks. Alternately, I order food delivered from Vons some trips. Free delivery for new customers.

There is less food offered for sale at DL vs. WDW resorts. But yes there is some food for sale in the smaller DL Hotel gift shop.

Just stayed at the DLH last weekend. The refrigerators are small and will not hold a large carton of milk. It will hold a number of small, individual size portions of milk like half pints or milk boxes that you would put in a kid's lunch. You can certainly bring those with you to the hotel. Alternately, you can get those small milks at the DD or in-park Starbucks (usually flavored though), or at the Coffee House which is on property at DLH right next to Goofy's Kitchen entrance or at Jolly Holiday Bakery in Dland. You can also get muffins, croissants etc at all of those places.

Thank you all so much for your quick responses!! That really helps!

DLH has milk in the small gift shop. We always get some from there and keep it stocked in the mini fridge for DD. I think they have a few snack items there, but I can't remember what they are. Tangaroa Terrace and The Coffee Shop are quick service at the resort that have muffins and breakfast pastries you can get to put in the room(and you can also get breakfast there in the mornings) and some snacks. The Coffee Shop lines can be really long in the mornings. We usually just stop for Beignets at the Jazz Kitchen Express in DTD as we are walking to the park.

White Water at The Grand would have a bit more grocery items than the other DLR due to the Villas that have FULL kitchens for DVC members.
I usually bring mine from home (live close by) but once I bought a dozen eggs, bacon and a loaf of bread for a family breakfast.
I have not done this in a while but it does not hurt to call the hotel ahead of time to ask what they still sell. :flower3:

Tangeroa Terrace also sells individual items. There is also a CVS and 7/11 probably a 15 min walk. Or a $5 taxi ride each way. There is also a Food Mart in a Shell Station at the corner of Walnut and Ball. (Exiting the DLH, turn LEFT on Magic Way, then right on Walnut to Ball.) Probably a 10 min walk. If you go south on Walnut you will find Marri's Pizza and a liquor store. Not sure what they have but probably at least milk. The fridges should be able to hold a quart. A hlaf gallon might fit, but you'd lose some shelf space.

Tangaroa Terrace has a refrigerated case with milk, juice, yogurt, fruit, etc. You can get muffins and pastries there as well as in the Coffee Shop. The Whitewater Snacks at GCH has larger grocery type packages of snacks and breads. You can easily take an Uber to a nearby grocery store or the nearby Target as well.

You all are the best!! Stress just went down several notches. And stopping for beignets will really make me calm down! Great idea!

Bring the granola bars with you. You can find them cheaper at home than you're going to find them on property and a better selection.
