We're planning a trip to DLR for this summer.

At least once, we're planning on having breakfast in DL. It will be our first time having breakfast in DL.

Does Cafe Orleans serve breakfast?

Which restaurant would you recommend for breakfast in DL?

Carnation Cafe
River Belle Terrace
Cafe Orleans
Or another choice

RBT doesn't take Priority Seating. Is it difficult to get a table at RBT for breakfast?

Any suggestions, opinions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, in advance.

I just found out from a trip report that Cafe Orleans does offer breakfast seasonally....... that was new to me!

Carnation Cafe is a cute setting outdoors on Main Street where you can people watch. The food is very, VERY good!!! We loved the breakfast potatoes...yum! My son had the Croissant-Benedict & he said it was the best hollandaise sauce he's ever had.

River Belle Terrace is a quick-service meal, where you line up & order at the counter. The food is fresh & hot & we always make this one of our breakfast stops. We love to sit outside & watch the activity on the Rivers of America. This was Walt's favorite breakfast place at the park!!!!

It can be difficult to find a seat inside RBT, but since they have the Mickey pancakes, we do try to visit there once per visit. It's just really close inside there...I think next time we'll just head on outside, as there's plenty of seating there!

I like Tomorrowland Terrace, too! Many of their breakfasts actually include a beverage (cocoa, coffee, milk, that sort of thing) and that's a nice value. Plus, we tend to just grab a granola bar in the early AM, do some rides, then have a later breakfast, so if we're at TT we can watch the first Jedi show. :)

We love carnation cafe we have a ps for next Friday there........the Cinnamon roll french toast is to die for! We have had breakfast at cafe orleans too and really enjoyed it but it is not open for our next trip. RBT is good too but the lines do get long ..... we always sit outside and people watch while we eat.

Does it have to be in Disneyland, or can it be in DCA or in DTD? The reason I ask is because, although I like both Carnation Cafe and River Belle Terrace (oh, the smell of those pancakes when you walk in RBT!), I have heard that the Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA serves excellent breakfast bread bowls. I saw a picture somewhere of the one that I wanted, which was a big bread bowl simply filled with eggs and bacon, but they had some other good things too. And of course, DTD has options such as the Rainforest Cafe breakfast (great time to go and enjoy the ambience of the restaurant when it is NOT crowded) and the La Brea Bakery breakfast. People always say the breakfasts at Steakhouse 55 in the DLH are great too. But maybe you have already done all those since you specifically asked about DL. Whitewater Snacks in GCH is highly regarded.

In any case, if you end up at Carnation or RBT, I think you will be pleased.

We love breakfast in the park. Its probably our favorite meal of the day. My fav is probably carnation on main street. I would recomend a PS for it. Even if you just call the day of, it'll save you some time waiting.

Riverbelle T. is probably my next choice. The line can get long, but the food is good, and I love to sit out side and people watch.

Cafe Orleans is good, but I find the menu a bit limited. The Mickey Beignets are SOOOOO good. I love to go just for those.

And of course, there is always breakfast with Minnie at the Plaza if you want a character meal.

Favorite breakfast IN the park is Carnation Cafe. Be sure to talk to Oscar. He's been working at the park for 53 years!!!!!

Favorite breakfast in the whole resort is Goofy's Kitchen.

My favorite in-park breakfast is River Belle Terrace. Normally I don't care much for pancakes, but their Mickey Mouse pancakes are great! You can also get a fruit plate or scrambled eggs and breakfast meats and those are good, too.

River Belle Terrace has PLENTY of seating, though most of it is outside - it's a counter service restaurant, so no need to worry about no having PS.

Have to agree, we love this place. Love to sit and watch the people. Very relaxing.

DH and I went to DL by ourselves for the very first time while the boys were in school last week. We had breakfast at RBT and it was great. We had never had breakfast at DL before, only at Goofy's Kitchen which is my favorite.

For sure RBT :)
When it gets busy they open up both sides of the counter service. Never had a problem with finding seating, we are usually a large group of 5 or more.
Outside seating is the best IMO, but the inside is very cute and charming.
Traditional breakfast of eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausages, biscuit & pancakes. Even my picky eater DD12 eats the entire plate. Fruit platter and of course real MM pancakes made right in front of you :)

Here I go threadjacking with my own question on the topic again, I apologize to S.S. ...

How late is breakfast typically served at these DL CS and TS restaurants? My family is a big fan of breakfast but we don't like meals to cut into our early morning touring. We'd love to be able to eat breakfast items as an early lunch instead. Do they serve until 11 a.m.? Thanks!

(I am not talking about the hotel brunches - we'll be hitting some of those too, lol - just the breakfasts in the park)

Jennifer,

Our family is a lot like yours. We grab a quick light snack in the morning and hit the parks. Then have a big breakfast later in the morning and usually skip lunch. We have not had a problem getting breakfast around 10:30-11 am. I wouldnt push too close to 11:30 because they do start the switch to lunch menus around that time.
