Hi everyone,

Just after some reviews on where the best place is for breakfast and a dinner Disney. I was thinking Breakfast with Minnie, but just wondering whether the others are better or is it mostly the same.
And has anyone done the dinner so you can get tickets to see the World of Colour in a separate area? Is it worth it?
Cheers

Hi

We have done story tellers cafe at the grand Californian for breakfast and that's a lot of fun with plenty of characters.

Dinner at Goofys kitchen at the Disneyland hotel is a hoot - as long as you take your noisy kids to join all the other noisy kids ( and grown ups too) . Lots of characters and more guest participation. It's the more lively venue.

We did the Goofy's kitchen and had a ball. Loads of characters and they all visited the tables.

Also did Surfs Up. I wasn't really impressed. Most the characters skipped our table, and one ignored us. We only ended up with Daisy stopping by for photo and autograph. Of course, we saw mickey when we came in but that was it!

We have recently done Goofy's, Storytellers, Minnies and Surfs Up breakfast's at DL. Minnies is great, you get a really good range of characters there! We much preferred Goofy's dinner buffet over the breakfast (we had dinner there about 8 to 10 times, breakfast only once).

We have also done the WOC dining package. We had dinner at Wine Country and I really enjoyed the meal (but have heard of some who haven't liked it).
We went to the second showing of WOC and the spot we got was fantastic! We were along a railing right in the middle, fantastic view. We did line up about 20 minute before the show to get that spot and were the first to be let in in that reserved area. It was worth it for us as we just got such a great viewing spot.

I loved Minnie's! Great range of characters, great interaction, decent food, and a really nice little restaurant too :goodvibes

We did the WOC dinner at Ariel's. The food was ok, but we felt very rushed. For us it was worth it for the convenience of getting into WOC without having the bother of having to line up in the morning for fastpasses etc. We just walked straight into the viewing area after dinner and ended up with a pretty good spot behind a garden.

We did Minnie's and Surfs Up for breakfast and Goofys for dinner and they were all great. Surfs Up had AMAZING character interaction for us. We had Minnie and Daisy all to ourselves for a good quarter hour or more and I have some great pics and video of my boys with them. Also made some memories that will NEVER fade. We also had Pluto and Mickey for five minutes by ourselves or so too. I've found having the later breakfast times sometime helps with more time with the characters. Both our breakfasts were for 10:10.

We have been to Goofy's Kitchen (breakfast and dinner), Surf's Up, Ariel's Grotto and the animal breakfast at Storytellers.

The one I enjoyed the least was Storytellers, not that it was bad (and the food was great), but the characters weren't as interesting.

Then comes Goofy's Kitchen at breakfast, mainly because I made the booking for 7am and no one was very hungry, and some of the food is so unbreakfast-like! (cupcakes, nuggets, pizza etc).

Ariel's Grotto is great if you want to meet all the princesses, the food is good too.

My favourites were Goofy's Kitchen for dinner and Surf's Up for breakfast.

I did the WOC dinner in 2011, we still had to queue quite a while for a spot (it was not a bad spot). Last year we didn't bother and still saw the whole show.

Cheers everyone. I think we will do Minnie's for breaky and Goofy's for dinner. Still deciding what to do with WOC. Can't believe that we will be there next month !

PS - do you usually just call to book or do it online?

For our past trip I booked Minnies and Goofy's by email and called the day before (on a payphone in DCA, there is a direct line to Disney Dining free of charge) for the Surf's Up. They have just introduced online booking for DL I think!
