Breakfast, cape may or 1900PF

I am looking for feedback to which is better for breakfast, Cape May or 1900 Park Fare. I have booked them both for the same time on the same day, but will only be keeping one of them. We will be staying at BCV so Cape may would be easier.

I went to both and prefer Cape May...better food and service.

If I had to choose, it would be Cape May Cafe. Both are a great character meal, but are very different. So it depends on what you are looking for.

Cape May Cafe - has a fabulous selection of hot/cold foods at the buffet. The atmosphere is very fresh and open. They have both booths and tables to sit at. The characters are Minnie, Goofy and Donald all dressed in beach attire. The tables have a white butcher paper on them that the kids can color on the table cloths with crayons. This place is great if you are heading to Epcot or DHS that day.

1900 Park Fare - has a smaller buffet selection. The dining room is a bit more formal/elegant feeling. The characters are Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger. Mad Hatter is so hilarious -- it's worth it just to see him!! This place is great if you are heading to MK that day, just hop on the monorail.

We love Cape May! FWIW, please cancel whatever ressie you aren't keeping as soon as possible--there may be someone out there who is desperately trying for one.

Another vote for Cape May. We have done both and especially if you are staying at the Beach Club, Cape May is a better choice.

I have to disagree. I thought 1900 PF was better than Cape May. Cape was a typical character breakfast at Disney, nothing special. Food was average, however the staff was very friendly.

I just think the food was better at 1900. But like someone said, depends what you are looking for too.

We have been to both, 1900 PF had blech food, terrible service, the annoying Mad Hatter and a loud atmosphere....prefer Cape May which was the complete opposite in every way

Nooooo!!!! Say it isn't so!! I want to go there for bfast because we love dinner so much and we'd love to meet Mary Poppins in her "fancy dress". Well fooey, now I'm going to have to start my own thread looking for more reviews on 1900 bfast.

Thank you for the info! We shall stalk her down in England and keep ressies elsewhere.

We've been to both places and much prefer Cape May. The atmosphere is much better and seems to be found in every nook and cranny. The servers were fantastic (both breakfast and dinner). The food was consistantly hot and fresh. The characters were really entertaining and took their time at each table but still circulated very quickly though the entire restaurant. We had them all at our table twice and some even 3 times.

We found that at 1900 the room was a little boring and it took ages for the characters to come around. We are not fast eaters but we were finished and still had not meet all the characters. The best thing about the buffet was the omellet station but the line was really long and it moves very slowly. While I waited for an omlette my DH had gotten a plate, eaten it and come back for more. The only thing that sort of saved the experience for us was the Mad Hatter. He sat at the table with us and was so funny.

We were there in September and she did circulate through the restaurant.

We also saw her in England and it was a much better interaction. I'm sure mainly having to do with the person herself.

We are another family that loves Cape May for breafast. They have wonderful food, great service, and awesome character interaction. When we were there in December we were the Family of the Day, we got a certificate and my kids got to ring the bell to let everyone know that the restaurant was opened....very cool. The characters never rush, they always make time for each kid AND adult
