Quick question. My DH, DS (4), DM and I are trying to come up with a breakfast ADR. For the most part our group is eating breakfast in our room this trip (12 days) with the exception of an ADR to Chef Mickey's, but on one particular day the majority of our group is heading off to UO. This will be a non-park day for the rest of us so we have decided to treat ourselves to breakfast on that day. We have it narrowed down to Boma, 1900 Park Fare, or Kona Cafe. Three very different styles. I am just looking for feedback as to which one you would choose and why? We are about 90+ days out right now, so I need to get an ADR sooner than later.

TIA for your help and responses,
Michele

Are you staying at any of those hotels? If so, pick that one... otherwise, the closest one or the one with the hotel you most want to see.

They're all good options, so find an element beyond the food that puts one above the rest for your needs.

If I had my pick I would probably make my ADR's at Boma. However, I have eaten at all three and you won't be disappointed with whatever you decide :)!

I would pick BOMA...outstanding breakfast (fabulous coffee & juice) and just a beautiful resort. If you're there early, after eating go out on the viewing area to see the animals. The AKL is gorgeous & fun to explore...you can make a morning of touring the lodge, pool, looking for animals, etc. Great gift shop there, too...lots of things the kids can "touch" in the AKL gift shop.

We also love Kona Cafe, though, if that would be easier to get to. Also a beautiful resort to take a tour - grounds/beach and the main lodge are awesome to wander around. Also has some cool shops. Love the "big Kahuna" breakfast there (eggs/french toast/macadamia nut pancakes/ham/bacon/potatoes:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2) and the coffee (Kona) is also fabulous.

I think your DS would really enjoy the characters at 1900 Park Faire. The food is great too, especially strawberry soup. Since it looks like you're staying at Pop, you would need to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then take the Resort monorail to the GF. I guess you'll get to ride to monorail to Chef Mickey's, but for a 4 year old, that is almost an attraction in itself, so he will probably enjoy that. Have a great trip!:goodvibes

everyone. We have made the decision to go ahead with an ADR at Boma. I spoke with my DM and she really wants to visit the AKL. We've been through there once quickly last year to get some Zebra Domes (yummy) at the quick service restaurant, and she really liked the resort (as do I). I like the idea about seeing the animals and exploring the resort at a slower pace this time around. Also, we already have two character meals planned so that wasn't as pressing an issue for this meal.

By the way, my little guy loves the monorail so much that we took a quick trip to the Poly (while passing through Orlando) this past March for a Dole Whip, a cup of Kona Coffee from the quick-service bar at Kona Cafe, and a monorail ride through Epcot ... and we actually shelled out the $70.00 for a monorail toy for at home. Complete with Mickey stickers to adhere to the monoral cars. At least one of my family members will become as crazy about WDW as I am. YAY!!

Again, thanks so much.

You've made a great choice. And AKL is a fantastic hotel to just hang around in if you love animals.
