Breakfast at Tusker House - then Everest? Where's rope?

We have breakfast reservations for 8 a.m. at the Tusker House in AK. Once we're finished, we want to be in the best place to get to Everest.

I know there's a rope drop near the Safari, but I want to know, should I go back to the front? Or just wait near the Safari, and then head to Everest from there?

Anyone with experience, tips are much appreciated!

Our reservations were at 9 right as the park opened. My husband just
ran over from the restaurant and got fastpasses before we sat down.
I would think you could head on over as soon as you finish eating. I
think it is a pretty straight shot from Tusker house. If you come to a
rope, just wait until it drops. Seems to far to go back to the entrance.

Hmm, eating a big buffet meal then riding a coaster. Not my ideal plan. How about getting a fast pass for EE so you can ride it later?
