We checked in at 8:15 and were provided a pager. We were sat within 5 minutes. While being sat, we were instructed where to find the hot foods and cereals.

The food here was good; I liked everything I tried. There was the usual buffet items such as eggs, bacon, Mickey waffles and biscuits. They also had two types of quiche and some potatoes. There was not much else at the warm foods buffet.

Our service was decent, but nothing exceptional. It is a buffet after all. She brought our drinks once, refilled our juice and we never saw her again until she brought our check.

The characters were rushed. Sadly, there was not even that many people in the restaurant. Goofy stopped by, would not sign my daughter's autograph book, posed for one quick picture and ran off. Minnie and Dale came by quickly as well and then they were off. Instead of signing my daughter's autograph book, he picked up a crayon and signed the paper covering the table and then took off.

Overall, it was not a terrible experience. I would do it again on the dining plan, but not pay out of pocket for that kind of experience. The character interaction was very disappointing.

Overall, I rate Cape May Cafe as a B.

We love this place - especially if you get in early. It seems that by 2 hours after opening ADR wait times can get long. I don't know if it's because of slow eaters or people waiting for characters. We still love it and make it an annual breakfast.

Have ADR at CapeMayCafe, Spoodles, Captains Grille at YC, breakfast for all 3....

Anyone have breakfast at Captains Grill, YC or Spoodles lately?

Thnx for your input!:yay:

Sorry you had that experience...

This is our favorite spot for a character meal. We book an early meal and the characters have been everywhere for us. In fact I was just looking through my album the other day and I have a picture of minnie, goofy & chip with me. they signed a coffee mug that i brought from a pottery store too:confused3

I asked for our paper to bring home and cut it up, matted & framed them. Goofy was really goofy...I told him that I learned to draw him in the animators class the previous day and he posed for me to draw him.. then when I couldn't figure it all out he nodded his head yes, took my crayon, and drew something while covering it with your other hand (like you are taking a test and trying to keep someone from seeing your answers)..when we moved his hand he had ...drawn me:rotfl: curly hair, eyelashes,....too funny! This is one place that we get alot of interaction. Chef Mickeys & Crystal Palace we usually miss a couple of them because they don't make it around.

justplaingoofy - I am glad you had such a nice experience. The food was good, but our character experience was awful.

Maybe I will try it again sometime and the character interaction will be much better.

Oh, I hope you do try again! It makes me sad that you had a poor experience. We usually try for 7:30, 7:40am...
