My daughter and soon to be son in law will be leaving right from the Hyatt to the Dream for their honeymoon. They have breakfast with some of the rooms. It sounds great but I know people line up to get one of the early buses. Just wondering if getting breakfast with their stay would be something to consider or not. :dog2::dog2::dog2:

We usually take a private car service but the restaurant opens pretty early. Think it's 6 or 7 am.

We did room service and specified when we wanted it delivered. It was pretty reasonable compared to many hotels we have stayed at.

I think we hit up McDonald's and Cinnabon. Did not want to over eat since the buffet awaits on the cruise

Sounds like you are saying breakfast is included in some of their rooms...if that's the case I would not skip breakfast especially if it is paid for already. I know the main restaurant, McCoy's, does not serve breakfast but I do remember an area serving breakfast somewhere in the hotel as I walked into it.

I can't seem to find it at their website....best to call the hotel directly to find out breakfast opening time. People do start to arrive about 8:30 or so for the first bus (maybe even earlier). First bus does not leave until about 9:30 ish IIRC.

I don't recall what time breakfast opened but our friends picked us up at 9:30 am at the Hyatt. We had time for breakfast which we lingered over, back to the room for last packing, brush teeth, etc., then sat and watched TV for a bit before heading down to the front of the hotel. They were right on time but we still waited about 10 minutes for them.

It was in the restaurant on the top floor. Great views of the landing strip. Buffet or a la carte.

They Hyatt's breakfast is in their Hemisphere restaurant, which recently reopened after a major renovation:

Hours

Breakfast Monday through Friday 5:30am – 11:00am

Breakfast Saturday and Sunday 5:30am – 12:00pm
Dinner 5:30pm - 10:00pm, Monday through Saturday

We went for breakfast about 0630, took our time and finished by 0730, plenty of time to go back up to the room to be there when they picked up our luggage for the cruise at 0800, then we headed down to the line for the DCL transportation.

When we got to the line (between 0815 adn 0830) there was already a line. Turns out we were the first family on the second bus to the port, which left about 0915...

i also suggest room service. I have done the sit down breakfast and room service on separate cruises at the Hyatt. The restaurant is busy, noisy, close tables, hard to walk, hour long wait at times, and poor service. Room Service was right on time, fresh food, and super convenient as I ate while my DD slept and I finished getting my makeup on etc. Then I woke her up to eat and dress her and we went to the bus. Had a line at 8:30am already.

We had the opposite experience in the restaurant -- quiet, not very busy, tables with plenty of space around them, no line at all (to get in or for the buffet), and good service. We were there early December 2015.

So apparently the experience can vary widely.

Others have noted that the airport food court is open and that may be an option for some people. Unfortunately for us, we can't do room service or the food court due to food allergies.
