Does anyone know what times Rainforest Cafe serves breakfast? Has anyone ate breakfast there that can recommend something good?

Thanks in advance

I don't remember the times, but it was good and reasonably priced. I just got a standard bacon/eggs/potato deal and it was nice. Uncrowded too :)

If I recall - and I haven't eaten breakfast at RFC since 2008 so it may have changed - they open at 8:00 a.m. In fact, even though I wasn't as thrilled with their breakfast food as I am with their very extensive lunch and dinner menu, I highly recommend eating at RFC for breakfast because the difference in crowds between breakfast time and lunch/dinnertime is like night and day. I could count on one hand the number of people in the restaurant when we were first seated, and it only started to pick up in business a little bit when we left.

Every time we eat at Rainforest Cafe, we have to pretty much sit where they put us, or risk waiting a ridiculous amount of time to get the table we want. It's just so crowded whenever we are there. But when we did the breakfast at RFC, we were able to sit right next to an aquarium, which is what I wanted. I just asked them, "Can we sit next to one of the aquariums since there's no one else here?" Ask and you shall receive.

The food we had was like Nunzia said, the standard bacon/eggs/potato/biscuit/fruit and juice situation, and some strong coffee. There were a few other things on the menu as well, but not nearly as much as you would find at lunch or dinner.

But if you really enjoy the atmosphere of Rainforest Cafe and want to be able to look around at the details of the restaurant - or, like in my case, look at the fish, close-up - try it for breakfast. It's the best time to enjoy the ambiance without massive crowds (all of whom are probably making a beeline over to the character breakfasts or into DL at that time).

RFC is absolutely our favourite place for breakfast (other than the Carnation Cafe)! We always visit DLR during late fall, or early winter, when the park often doesn't open until 10:00, so it is perfect. At that time of year, RFC opens at 8:00, and as Sherry said, it is so quiet. I always have the Forest Combo (oatmeal with lots of super-yummy fresh fruit). Coming from Alberta, we alway drool over the fruit in California.

Thanks for the suggestions. I got a Rainforest $25 gift card from mypoints and I'm trying to stretch it as far as a can for 2 people. The breakfast prices are lower than the lunch/dinner by about $6 or $7 plus I never ate breakfast there before, so I thought I would try it out.

So I'm thinking they probably stop serving breakfast around 11 or 11:30 am. :confused3 I'm trying to figure out which day of my trip to eat there.

Also, does anyone know if you can use gift cards towards the tip? Just wondering. Thanks

If you have a know of a place that is affiliated with Rainforest Cafe, you can join the club for $15 a year and get priority seating. Among other things. Maybe you can look it up and join online.

As for breakfast I have not eaten it there. Sorry.

If their gift cards work the same way as the Disney gift cards do, you should be able to add the tip onto the gift card you use to pay for your food. When we ate at Storytellers Cafe last October, I used a Disney gift card to pay for my meal. They took the card, rang up the meal, printed the receipt and brought it back to me so I could either write in the tip on the receipt and add it to the gift card, or stick cash in the sleeve. I put the tip on the card.

I always tip a little extra when I am adding it onto a card of any kind - gift card, credit card or debit card - because I have been told that the tip is then taxed after it has been added to the card, so you may tip a person $5 or $10 but the server for whom you intended that tip will not get the full $5.00 or $10.00. They get the post-tax amount.

we eat breakfast at RF fairly regularly. they serve it until 11am. i never make a reservation, and always get seated right away. the waffles and french toast are great! the only thing is, i don't care for their coffee, so i always get coffee when i get in disneyland! also, just an fyi, the kids waffle and the regular waffle are the same size, so if you're older child (mine was 12) thinks they want the "adult" meal, just get the lesser priced kid meal. :)

Thanks for the info! That's alright about the coffee, I don't drink it anyway because I can't have caffeine.
