Disney reeeaaaalyy push the dining the plan, its a guaranteed source of revenue for them. You pay for meals before you go, so Disney dont really care if you use all the vouchers or not. Most trip reports I have read where people get the meal plan, they dont use all the vouchers. Also not all the restaurants are included, the restaurants in Disney Village such as Earl of Sandwich, Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood dont accept the vouchers. The meal plan vouchers are Disney's way of making sure that you spend your money in Disney owned restaurants. Also when you use the vouchers, you eat from a set menu, starter, meal, dessert, which has less choice than the al a carte menu. People end up choosing food or restaurants to get the value out of the voucher, not necessarily the food or amount they actually want to eat. You dont need a meal plan for breakfast, its included in all the hotel and park ticket packages.
I have been 3 times to
Disneyland Paris and I never get the dining plan. I fill up at breakfast, which gets me to lunch time, I have a small lunch and then a main meal in the evenings. On my last trip a few weeks ago, I didnt have a big meal one evening, I just had something small, the same as I did at lunch.
Most likely your agent will get a commission if you take it!
