My DSIL is a HUGE fan of Alice and the Mad Hatter. I want to suprise her with this character breakfast... How was it... Give me the good, the bad and the ugly :)

This was one of our favorite meals of our recent trip during Christmas/New Years.

We had an early Breakfast ADR on Christmas morning and drove to the Grand Floridian from CSR. Since I had never even stepped foot at the GF before, that was magical just driving up to it and going inside!

Mary Poppins was just outside the dining room greeting everyone and posing for pictures and autographs. My 3 year old granddaughter was simply enchanted and it took some coaxing to get her to go inside! She didn't want to leave Mary Poppins!

As we were seated, she spied Alice in Wonderland. Oh my goodness! Alice is one of her absolute favorites and she was nearly speechless when Alice approached her at our table. She finally managed to tell her that she was one of her very favorites, and Alice told her how pretty she looked and that she "really loved her headband". My granddaughter was in heaven!

The food was served buffet style and was delicious. All of it!

Then, Pooh and Eeyore came around and they were wonderful too! Either we missed or the Mad Hatter wasn't there that morning.

After breakfast, we walked around the GF lobby and shops and I caved and purchased my granddaughter the Alice in Wonderland dress!

We would definitely return for this again. It was one of the highlights of our whole trip!

I went to the breakfast on the last day of the holiday, loved being hugged by Winnie. Thought the food was great, good choice (chocolate ice crem for breakfast :cool1: ). Will do it again sometime in the next holiday.

We just had breakfast there on Christmas day. Our characters were Pooh, Eeyore, and Alice (no Mad Hatter that day). The food was great. You must try the strawberry soup. It was delicious! The character interaction was good. Each one stopped at our table for pics with our girls (11 and 15). Of course, I had my pic made with Eeyore! It was busy when we were there at 10:30a.m., but it was Christmas day.

This is the one that my kids insist on every time we go! Great food and Great character interaction and of course it is in such a beautiful hotel. :wizard:

It is the best character breakfast I have ever done, and I have done a few. I thought nothing would top Crystal Palace but 1900 was even better. :cool1:

We were there in Dec., and had all of the above characters, plus the Mad Hatter. He was wonderful! Was in complete character the whole time and did a great job.

I'm glad to hear such wonderful reviews. We are eating breakfast there on our trip in a few days! :cool1:

1900 Park Fare is our fave character meal and we've done them all except the PF dinner (doing this trip) and Donald's Breakfastosaurus (also doing this trip). In fact, last night we switched another ADR to PF breakfast because we didn't want to miss it! DS LOVES Alice and Mary. We have had some of our most fabulous character interaction there.

Don't miss the cheese blintzes and the bread pudding with vanilla sauce!! :flower:

This is one of our favorite breakfasts. In fact, the food is so good that the characters are just secondary for us. Although, we do love seeing Mary Poppins!

DD and I went there for the last breakfast of our trip in Dec. Absolutely loved it. Great character interaction, and the buffet is better than some others we've been to.
