Breakfast AND lunch at Tusker House - or lunch at Rainforest?

We're doing a last-minute switch in plans for AK and HS days and so I'm changing ADRs... we were planning on eating breakfast at Tusker House, and that's still available on our new AK day, but trying to figure out what to do for lunch. (No Yak & Yeti, unfortunately)

There's availability at Rainforest Cafe, or again at Tusker House - but it feels weird eating 2 meals at the same place on the same day

We ARE eating at T-Rex another day, which is the main reason we hesitated to plan anything at Rainforest (that and we prefer buffets for our clan, and Tusker House sounds really interesting!) Also not sure about traveling back to the entrance for lunch, not exactly sure where in the park we'll be at the time, but Tusker House or CS seems like it might be the smarter option time-wise.

So, with breakfast at Tusker House, would you venture back there for lunch, go to Rainforest instead or just grab CS? (We're on the DxDP)

Do you have dinner plans for this day? If not, I'd do a late lunch at Tusker or early dinner, but even then two big buffets on the same day seems like a lot of food to me. If you do have dinner plans, I'd grab a QS for lunch or maybe even just a snack.

Hmm, hadn't really thought about that but yes, we are heading to Boardwalk/BC in the evening with an ADR at Cape May - 3 buffets in one day is a lot LOL (especially throwing in the kitchen sink sundae at the end of the night LOL!)

We are definitely trying to make the most of the DxDP and with so many people to feed, all with various tastes, counter service might not be much faster than table service, but maybe for that day light CS for lunch is the way to go LOL!

I don't think I'd want to eat at TH twice in one day, and I certainly wouldn't want to tramp all the way back to the entrance for this particular restaurant. Since Y&Y is out then I have 2 suggestions:

1. CS lunch at Flame Tree BBQ- yes it is CS, but IMO is one of the best CS on property.

2. Sanaa. Yes I know it means going out of the park and over to AKL. But it is a great restaurant and would give you a nice break in the hottest part of the day.

Three buffets in one day, you will have to decide if your group can handle that. PLUS the kitchen sink sundae.

Since you are on the deluxe dining plan are you trying to maximize credits by using them for TS? If not I'm suggesting counter service for lunch. AK has some decent counter service.

With the deluxe plan you may as well do three buffets if you must use the credits for TS, as if you go to a regular restaurant you're going to be ordering appetizer, entree and dessert and at a buffet you do at least have the option of not eating that much without wasting it, if that makes a difference to you.
