Hi all!

My mom and I have a few breakfast reservations but my mom is allergic to Egg Yolk. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do/have experience with this? There are a lot of things we've noticed she won't eat because of her allergy.

Thanks all!

Contact Disney ahead of time about the allergy.
Also when you arrive at the ADR inform the CM.
I am not totally aware of the menu items they will offer.

But my thought is since so many breakfast options have egg in them I'd probably just not choose to make breakfast ADR's to begin with.

Call Disney Dining at (407) WDW- DINE. Have them mark each reservation with the food allergy. When you arrive at reservation, explain to server, a chef will come from the kitchen and discuss what he can make, or offer you some suggestions.

I do know Be Our Guest is egg allergy friendly, and the options were pretty good. I think I had the french toast with egg free pastries. I'm not allergic- just accidentally ordered it once!

FYI, anything that's vegan doesn't have egg in it, so that could help you. There are vegan waffles (they're the gluten-free waffles, which also happen to be vegan) available almost everywhere on property. And at the few places I've had them, they're made on a dedicated waffle iron, so there's no crosscontamination. There's also oatmeal. And there's vegan french toast at several locations as well and also scrambled tofu. You're not stuck with just eggs at breakfast.

I'm vegan and I never write ahead about this. But when you go to the restaurant, ask to speak to the chef, and someone will come from the kitchen and discuss the possibilities with you. Easy.

Was it vegan French toast?
The batter that you dip the bread in before you put it in the pan generally is made with egg.

I'm not sure if it was vegan or not. It definitely didn't include eggs. I'm not sure if it made with milk. I was kinda surprised it was egg-friendly since yes, regular french toast is made with milk and eggs.

When you make your ADRs just note it in the allergy section and the the CMs will go above and beyond to accommodate your allergy and provide you with a list of all the egg free options. They take it very seriously. My son has an egg allergy and we had several breakfast reservations and the CMs were seriously amazing. The chefs even came out and talked to us about our options. And there are plenty! But we stuck mostly with the Mickey waffles because, thankfully, they do not have egg in them and they also happen to be my son’s favorite breakfast food so that made life really easy for us

She is! I've called/asked before and there wasn't a concrete answer for the various restaurants whether they were able to serve her egg whites instead of egg yolk.

If the food is cooked to order (not a buffet), they should be able to do egg whites

I am going in Sept 2020 - and I also have an egg allergy (egg whites and yolks - but was told by doctor the yolk was because there is no way to completely remove it from the white - so be careful there).

I am planning on doing quite a few breakfasts -doesn't seem to be a need to avoid. Look at gluten free and dairy free wdw and they have allergy menus including the buffet guides. Normal mickey waffles don't seem to have eggs in them but double check.

Boma, Tusker House, Crystal Palace all have a load of options and the non buffet places should be able to make something - Avacado on toast etc, salmon. I am not at all worried about not being able to eat breakfast.

My twins were allergic to eggs, I never worried about eating anywhere at WDW. We just made sure to tell them at the podium after noting it on the ADR's. The chef would then come to the table and we would know what they could and could not eat and even had some special things made for them. Some QS are allergy friendly as well.

Thank you for this! She can have cupcakes and cakes with eggs in it, but not in a large amount. It's straight eggs, like you would find at breakfast, that she can't eat.

DH is allergic to eggs and whenever we go someplace including Disney we just ask to have them left off and he gets an extra helping of hash browns. Some restaurants will also cook allergy friendly Mickey waffles for him.

Deserts are harder but he's usually able to find something he can eat, if he wants.
