Brave Movie Review - Good but not new

Brave is a charming film about a head strong teenage girl who doesn’t see eye to eye with her mother. So an age old tale of course, but told in the Pixar way with stunning visuals, likeable characters and this one has a pretty cool Celtic soundtrack. In many ways, this is the most unique Pixar movie to date, but because there are very few unique aspects about the story. Typically when seeing a Pixar film, you’re experiencing something you never have before. Brave isn’t a fresh story, but it’s nowhere near stale. It’s a great adventure for Disney/Pixar’s first female lead and first princess. Some of the action especially near the end is pretty intense but you should expect that with a PG rating. 4 arrows out of 5.
