We will be going to WDW in June of this year (DH, DS9 and DD5) and I have lots of questions.

We are thinking of going to Downtown Disney the first night we get there because our hotel is only a couple blocks away...do you need a ticket to get into DTD? We are getting five day passes and don't want to waste a day of the tickets if it is required to get in.

I look forward to browsing around more...this site has been a great resource so far!

As far as I know, there is no ticket to get into DTD. Enjoy your planning and your trip!!!

Hello Sara!
Glad to hear you are going to WDW soon! You're gonna have so much fun! To answer your question, no DTD does not require a pass, except if you were to go over to Disney Quest and yes that is separate admission. Everyone here on these boards are very helpful, so don't hesitate to ask any questions at all! Have a great time!!! :cool1:

Thanks everyone...I'm sure you'll be seeing me again, asking lots of questions! This trip seems to have taken over my life!! :rolleyes2

DTD can get pretty crowded; no ticket needed; lots of cool shops to check out. Keep in mind the restaurants get pretty packed also; if you are planning to eat dinner I would say to definitely make a reservation if possible.

I can see nothing better to take over ones life but a vacation to Disney ~~
Enjoy your trip!! :tink:

planning a Disney vacation has surely taken over all of our lives... we are very happy to admit that we are adicts!! DD is great and needs to money at all... just browse throught the tons of different kinds of shops... check out the lego world... listen to music at Virgin! You could have ice cream sundaes at Ghiredelli or dinner at McDonalds!! Always always remember to take it easy and soak it all in!!!
Congrats!! :cheer2:

Hi Sara, welcome to the Dis :sunny:
Hope you have a good trip in June :thumbsup2

Hi  We will be there in early June (4-15). DTD is our favorite way to start a trip. There is plenty of stuff to see (and buy :teeth: ) there. It is a great way to put you in a Disney mood for the rest of your visit. If you plan on eating there, I highly recommend the Earl of Sandwich http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_eofs.htm. The prices are very reasonable (by Disney standards) and the food is very good. Have a great trip and maybe we will see you there :sunny:

Hi Sara and welcome to the Dis! No tickets needed for Downtown Disney, just bring lots of $$$$ for all the stuff you are going to want to buy! :thumbsup2
P.S.
I sent you a PM.

Hi you will learn lots here!!! I think planning is one of the most exciting thing about the trip.

No ticket required for DTD. I don't know if you still are required to pay for pleasure island after hours. I think :confused3 they did away with the adminstion price because people stopped coming, don't know for sure. We always take in DTD first. If you are staying at POFQ or POR you can take the boat. :woohoo:

There is no tickets for DD, but when I was there in Sept-05, you did have to pay for Pleasure Island. They changed it to where you could pay to get into one club, or buy a pass that gets you into all the clubs. There's been a lot of changes to Pleasure Island(according to Dis), so this could have changed since then. :confused3
