Disney pools all counter services together, so your child can order an "adult meal" If they want to. If you use "snack credits" for breakfast, you have to use 2 of them to get cereal and milk.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say I had an awesome stay at CSR visiting my father on 5/28-5/31. We were in Casitas 1 in a renovated room, I still love CSR!! Again so sad to say, my car broke down on the drive up to Orlando. For anyone who knows about my previous two break downs, this was actually my other car this time. So, my father drove to pick me up from the side of the highway, had the car towed home and flew back from Orlando. Actually, flying home made feel like I was really on vacation. My BF says I am cursed and being punished for going to WDW so often. I was so stressed from all of the transportation issues I actually hung around the resort more than the parks, I needed to relax. We ate at the Maya Grill for the first time in years, since we missed our Ohana ressie due to break down, and it was really good! Will post some pictures soon.:thumbsup2

Welcome back. We've missed you on the boards. Lots of posts you should be "answering." Can't wait for NEW pictures. :)

I am booked for September 19th in a King room, my only desire be that it is a renovated room...I know that many of the king rooms are not yet converted... Is it unlikely that I'll be able to get such a room?

I know I'm not JamesLynn, but I think since there were already king rooms and they are done with 8 of the 13 buildings (almost nine buildings...they are more than halfway done with Ranchos 7B), that you should have a good shot. Plus the rehab is scheduled to be done by October 09 and you arrive mid-September. Once they finish 7B, they have 7A and the three floors (1, 2 and 3) of Casitas 1, 2 and 3 left.

I'm booked to leave a king room on the 19th. I've asked for a renovated room too. I'll try to leave it in good shape for you!

Question hopefully KatMark or JamesLynn can answer for me. Just added dining plan to our trip today (I know last minute, we leave Monday) and also changed our request to be Casistas 4 or 5 or Cabanas 8A. I was thinking of going ahead and doing online check-in. Does it assign a room when you do online check-in? And if I don't get a section we want can I go to the desk and see if there is a possibility of changing rooms? We will probably get to the hotel by 1:30pm so it will still be fairly early. Just wondering if I should wait until tomorrow to do online check-in so it gives them a chance to see my request. Wasn't sure how the room assignments work with online check-in. Thanks for the help.

To my CSR family...we are leaving tomorrow:yay:! I can hardly wait! Wish me luck...and I promise to post pictures. Also thanks to all of you that keep this board so informative:hug:!

I thought I knew the answer to this but now I'm not sure. Have all the rooms been upgraded to 2 queen beds even the nonrenovated ones or is that happening as part of the renovation? I MUST have the Queen beds, thats why we're staying here but other than that a renovated room doesn't matter. Thanks!

My husband has not been to Disney in 20 years. I want to WOW him and justify all my trips. :lmao:I know CSR will dazzle!

This one I can't answer--as I've not done online check-in (it is new since we went in September). JamesLynn can probably help or someone who has used it.

Have a very MAGICAL trip. Lots of pixiedust:pixiedust:to get all your requests and can'tn wait for pictures and a report when you get back.

All the rooms that are getting queen beds have gotten them. There are maybe somewhere around 40 rooms that still have the double beds and these rooms will be getting a new king bed.

Hope this helps.

We did online checkin last month. We had requested a room in the Cabanas, but we were assigned Casita 2. We asked to be changed and we were. My folder did say Check Requests on it, but they either didn't check it or didn't think they had a cabana room available when rooms were assigned.

You will not be assigned a room when you check in online (at least not that you can see - it is possible that it happens behind the scenes). You can check in online ten days in advance and rooms aren't assigned until 3 or 4 days in advance - I don't think it makes any difference in room assignment if you check in online or not. You will still go to the registration desk and see a CM - you can request any changes then.

Thanks for the info. Think I will go ahead and do check-in and if I want to change anything then I'll just go to the counter. We are 4 days out so they'll be getting assigned tonight or tomorrow I assume.

So I'd have to be pretty unlucky to end up with one of those! Thanks!

Since January I've stayed in a renovated King room in Cabanas 9B and Casitas 1, I think it is likely you will get such a room!

Did you miss the worst of the rainstorms or was that the week Florida was hit with the much needed rain?

It only rained (actually poured!) once for about 30 minutes on Tuesday afternoon.

I'm glad you enjoyed the resort and I absolutely LOVE your pictures. Do you mind if we copy and past them into the CSR photo thread?

Be my guest.. I have tons of others too!! Gosh, Three nights = 159 pictures!!
