I thought of a question, we are driving from Indiana. So can you easily find CSR? The last time we were there I don't remember there being to much greenery out front, but looking at photo's it looks like a lot of greenery out front. I really don't want to drive by it.

I need to get in gear and get my map/directions all printed off.

I don't think you'll have much problem. I will say Disney has lots of signs with the directions you should be taking, etc. It is very near Blizzard Beach.

A quick review of my trip:

Dates 3/30 - 4/3

After staying in the Casitas twice and the Ranchos once, I requested a room in the Cabanas. We were put in 8B, room 8531 with a parking lot view, but when we got to our room, the door was open and there were dirty towels on the bed and in the bathroom. I called the front desk and they immediately moved us to 8560 - right near the quiet pool and almost a water view :thumbsup2. We were actually happy about the dirty towels as we had a much nicer location. The woman I spoke to was very apologetic and took care of moving us quickly.

The new rooms are beautiful, and I very much enjoyed the Cabana area.

Pros - it was quieter there than it was on both of my stays in the Casitas. We never heard anyone and I believe the resort was fully booked. The quiet pool was very quiet though I think the one by the Casitas is prettier.

The hammocks are wonderful. I called my dh every night from a hammock and took a few breaks during the day there too.

Cons - None but I still think the Casita area is prettier with all the fountains.

The PM - Ok, I was a fence sitter on this issue before but I've changed my status. It is way too expensive here and the food selection seems to be slimmer than before. If you have the dining plan, it would be fine, but without, just too expensive for what you get, imho.

Another oddity - I found a scarf at Epcot that I planned to pick up on my way out of the park but forgot. I also found it in Panchitos and it was 3.99 more. I asked the cm there and she said prices were supposed to be the same and didn't understand why there was a price difference. I just found this curious.

I had a problem with my cell phone and I needed to charge it before we left but after we had checked out of our room. A very nice woman at the DVC stand let me plug it in there and she kept an eye on it while we went and got something to eat.

All in all, it was a great "con-vacation", and CSR continues to live up to my expectations.

Just a few of the pics I took:

Welcome back and thanks for sharing. We've always stayed in the Casitas--we love the fountains too. We're thinking of asking for Ranchos or Cabanas on the next trip.

If okay with you, can I copy and paste your pictures into the CSR photo thread?

KatMark:

Of course you can copy them. I have many more but haven't completed sorted things so I'll add some to the photo thread too.

I missed the fountains but loved the hammocks and the quiet of the cabanas.

Thanks. I think we'll ask for Cabanas. And, if we're unhappy with the quiet pol there, we'll just walk over to the Casitas quiet pool. :goodvibes

Thanks for the report!!

We to have requested the Cabanas this trip after previously having tried the Casitas.
I liked the Casitas all except for the fact that we wer in Building 5 and had a good little walk to and from the bus stop.
And Ranchos just do not appeal to me at all.

Oh--and I loved your hammock picture!!

I'm from Pittsburgh too!:dance3: We were in the Cabanas section and centrally located between Stop 4 and 1. Even though those are the last stops, we never had to stand. Also, after a day, we just strolled on over to the Casitas to go to bust stop 2. It was only a 5 or 6 minute stroll. And we got to take in the sights while strolling!

Where in The Burgh are you from? Thanks for the info. I will have to see what my mom wants to do.

We were also there last week, from 3/29-4/03. We loved CSR! It was beautiful, quiet, and so relaxing. We stayed in Casita 2, near the quiet pool. We had one of the renovated rooms (king bed) on the 4th floor, and it was lovely. Our CM made adorable Easter themed towel animals each day, and on 4/1, my birthday, she made a towel "birthday cake", with a washcloth candle! She placed it in front of our window along with the balloon bouquet our sons had sent to me so everyone walking by could enjoy it (she kept the sheer curtains drawn behind them, to maintain the privacy of our room). We'll return there in a heartbeat!:goodvibes The CMs were exceptionally helpful and friendly, also.

Thanks for your report. So glad you loved CSR, got a newly rehabbed room and had special birthday treats! :)

Has anyone used the online check in and how do I do it? How early can it be done?

Stayed at CSR for 7 nights in early March. Wow, it was just amazing. Had a fantastic time! Thanks to all for the information in this thread.

I love the birthday cake that Housekeeping makes! I've seen some sitting the windows on my walks to deliver my express checkouts and dme vouchers.

Casitas 4 is now getting refurbed!

And it's been crazy at Coronado the past few days! All of you who left on the 3rd should be somewhat happy! I had crazy nights Friday and Saturday!
