We are booked CSR Aug. 25 - Sept. 1. We requested the Casitas but now I have read that they are not renovated. Do you think they will be by then or should I change our request to just a renovated room?

THANKS!

I would keep checking here to see how the progress is going. They are starting on Casitas 4 next week. The Casitas are the biggest section so they will take the longest. As of now, the fourth floor of Casitas 1, 2 and 3 are complete.

Hi! We leave for CSR in less than 2 weeks and I have a question about faxing in a room request. Who do you address the fax to? Thanks!

Fax: (407) 939-1001 for the CSR

I always address mine to the CSR Registration/Room Assignment (we've never had problems doing it this way)

I hated the dryers they are the standard hotel ones. My hair is short and fine and it took forever. I would bring my own.

thank you very much for the reply, I kind of figured I'd need my own, I've yet to stay in a hotel that had a GOOD hair dryer

Here are a few more from our trip last week.

WOW, beautiful photos, thanks for sharing!!

Welcome, back! We are going to CSR for the first time in late August, and were planning to request Cabana 8a, also. We have two boys, 6 and 8, and being near the main pool is fairly important to us, but we don't want them to complain about a 20 minute walk to the Pepper Market/main building either.

How did you find that location with two kids in that age range?

And what kind of view did you have?

Thanks!

The walk to the main building took our family less than five minutes, and we found it enjoyable. The kids loved the alligator hunt along the way. The pool was really close, and our view was of a hibiscus garden.

I almost forgot about our run in (twice!) with an armadillo! It was in the foliage outside our room late one night.

Honestly, I liked the views of this building. One thing I didn't want to see was a parking lot, and I don't think you could from any 8A room.

The close proximity to the pool was also great in the afternoon for mug refills. It was very quick and convenient for one of us to run over and refill.

I don't want to scare anyone about Pepper Market either. It was annoying, but the food was good, and on the dining plan I felt like we made out on it. The pool food was good and cheap as a meal we paid for out of pocket. Also since the bus stop was so close to 8A, we tended to eat breakfast at the park after our first few rides. The girls had a drink and small breakfast bar in the room prior to leaving.

You're going to be there same time we are! :cool1: I was wondering the same thing yesterday, so I checked out the FAQ's and did some lookups online. Here's the FAQ from BUZZ:

CSR Convention List

And I found a few more and posted them here:

More conventions

Maybe our families will run into each other... we'll be there 4/28-5/5. And I'm still planning stuff to do :surfweb:

Thank you!!!! I cant wait. It seems like it has taken forever to get to the 3 week mark, but I think now the time will fly by!!!
Here's to no rain and low crowds! :)

My mom would like to be close to the bus stop and would like to sit on the bus and not stand. So I am worried about the Cabanas. So if you had to choose another Casitas to be close to the bus stop, do you think Casitas 2 or 3 would be better? Thanks for your help.

I'm from Pittsburgh too!:dance3: We were in the Cabanas section and centrally located between Stop 4 and 1. Even though those are the last stops, we never had to stand. Also, after a day, we just strolled on over to the Casitas to go to bust stop 2. It was only a 5 or 6 minute stroll. And we got to take in the sights while strolling!

Ok, this is probably a strange question, but I have been reading a thread about the awful Nescafe coffee sold at most places in Disney. I am wondering (hoping actually) if the coffee at CSR is better since their restaurants are run by an outside vendor? Does anyone know what type of coffee is served at CSR? Thanks!

Not sure what they serve at PM but it was very good and much better than the crap they put in the room! Every morning I made my storll on over to PM with my refillable mug and told them to "fill her up with some hot mojo"!

Thanks! She's 11 and almost as tall as me and I'm 5'8!

I cannot wait to go back next year. Missing it already!

Thanks for the info... 8A does seem like the best spot for us, especially since we've booked a standard view (I'd prefer foliage over parking lots, if possible - though since we don't have a balcony, it's not a big deal). I'll put in the request and cross my fingers.

I suspect we'll have the same issues with the Pepper Market (going in different directions), but I doubt we'll eat there too much. Like you, we'll probably do a fast breakfast in the room before going to the parks (we're early birds at Disney). We'll be on the dining plan, too, so the cost of the PM won't be a problem. Eating by the pool seems like a nice option, too.

Thanks again!
