When I booked I requested (in this order) Cabanas 9A, 8B, 8A. We ended up in 8B. It was a refurbed room. All the double bed rooms have queens now even if the room wasn't totally redone. I know all the Cabanas rooms are finished. Search this thread I think Kathy has a list of the buildings which are done. I hope this helps.

I'm on the "less than 6 months" countdown!!!!

No buses go to any of the other resorts. You would have to take either a taxi or a bus to one of the parks and catch the Boardwalk bus from there.

You would have to speak with housekeeping the day before you check out as they are the ones who make the decisions on late check outs.

That's great information, Tim. Thanks!! I'm sure they are probably not getting a lot of people taking advantage of the early check-in yet. Lots of people aren't even aware of it. Anyway, I'm hoping it might give us a little advantage on trying to get one of the refurbed rooms.

GREAT! Thanks very much! We were in Ranchos 6B last year and enjoyed it very much. However, I think we may request either one of the Cabanas mentioned, or a 4th floor of the Casitas.

As Kathy stated, there isn't a bus that goes directly from CSR to Boardwalk. My suggestion would be to take the bus from CSR to DHS, then walk to the Boardwalk or take the boat. It's a short walk.

When I did my online check in the other night there was no place to actually put in any building requests or room requests, there wasen't even a place to type in special requests. The only thing they had relating to requests was a place to check off first floor and/or 2 other things but nothing about a building or a specific room other than one on the first floor.

I put my requests in when I first booked the room with central reservations...then I would check occasionally to see it was on there (by calling back)
When we checked in at the Beach Club in Febuary using online checkin it was smooth..they had one counter open for just that. They did have my request..but we could modify it right there if we wanted to.

do the renovated rooms have hair dryers on the walls? I saw a pic I believe tigeroo posted over on the resort photos thread and I didn't notice a hair dryer, it could have been blocked by the hand towels on the wall. Just want to double check so I know if I need to bring my own.

Nope, they have one. Buzz posted a picture somewhere and it was there in a little bag.

I couldn't find the hair dryer when I was there in Feb. . I was getting all upset and ready to call the front desk. My DH found it hanging in a little bag on the clothes rack by the sink. Its even labled . But who says I have to be smart on vacation!

Only 5 days till we hit CSR!!!!

How come it doesn't seem to be getting any closer the days are dragging and work is twice as busy as normal!!

We have a little one and just incase we need to wash something to prevent stains.
