Thanks for posting that link to Buzz's site. Somewhere in the middle of this thread I guess I missed out on what happened to Buzz, I only gathered that he had left, is it inappropriate to ask why or what happened?
Also, this might sound like a dumb question but does anyone ever catch a bus at the Casitas over to the Cabanas just to use the dig site pool? I'm having a bit of trouble grasping the actual walking distance to the pool. Some people say it is no trouble just a short stroll and others say it is very long and tiring at the end of the day.
Thanks.
This doesn't really answer your question, but last year we were in Ranchos 6A and it took me about 10 minutes at a comfortable pace to get to El Centro. That's about as far as you can get between two points at CSR, so I would expect your walk to be no longer than that.
Yep, that was the last info we had. I'm going to contact JamesLynn by email and see if I can get a "new" update. Thanks, Doc!
Happy safe 4th holiday to all !
With this water view talk, I was thinking of upgrading to waterview, but was wondering,,,,what does WV included at CSR?
View of the lake, the pool, anything wet?![]()

I posted a month or so ago that I was willing to do anything (including upgrade to a water view or king room) to make sure I didn't get stuck in the Ranchos. I'd love anything in the Cabanas or Casitas, but really dislike the Ranchos. I was told that water view rooms include views of the lake, quiet pools, or fountains, so yes, basically anything wet.![]()
aubriee - I would be interested in hearing why you don't like the Ranchos? I like the look of them and was going to request 7B for our upcoming trip. We stayed in the Casitas in 2006 - I thought they were nice but seemed too much like a chain hotel anywhere in the US, the Ranchos seem a little more Disney to me. I like to hear negatives too!
Here is what I just faxed in yesterday!
Hello Staff of Coronado Springs Resort,
My family and I will be arriving to Coronado Springs Resort on Sunday July 5th, 2009. Our reservation numbers are AAAAAAAA and BBBBBBB, and we have requested that these rooms be connected with a pass-through between the rooms. Also we would appreciate our rooms to be located either in cabana 8a or 8b or Rancho 7b. We understand that it is just a request, but if at all possible we would appreciate any assistance with our request. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
The Polve and Zulas Family
Hi can i ask what 'connected with a pass through' means?

We got back on the 1st from a wonderful stay at CSR! We checked in about 2:30 and our room wasn't ready. I requested a Cabanas room when I made the reservation. I TRIED to do on-line checkin, but that wouldn't work for me. We got there and there was 1 other party in front of us. So...no line! I asked for a renovated room in Cabanas 8B. She spent a lot of time checking the computer and said, "Well, I can't give you 8B, but I have a room in 9A. But, it's not ready yet." "No problem...that was my second choice!" We walked around a bit, got a drink of water, went on a bus ride (long story that involves a stroller swap!) got back to CSR around 4:00 and the room was ready. We got room 9101, just STEPS away from 8B and on the first floor about 20 feet from the quiet pool. (We had booked waterview because it was the only thing available for the 4/3 deal) SWEET! No luggage yet though! We had dinner at Chef Mickey's, got back to the room around 8:00 and the luggage was there!
I proceeded to unpack. I had heard about everyone using shoe organizers to keep toiletries organized. I was lucky enough to find THIS at my local grocery store on clearance for $1.00...yes _one_ dollar. It's canvas and awesome! It tied right to the bar in the closet area and kept the sink nice and clean.

We had a towel animal in the window waiting for us. Then the next few days the mousekeeper would arrange my boys' stuffed animals in different places on the bed, with their first visit pins. Then she tied the sheers together and would place different animals hanging in the window. It was fun to come back to the room and see what the window looked like! The last day she outdid herself. She arranged a scene in the front window. She put down a white sheet on the two brown ottomans. Then a blue garbage bag for "water". Then she took our inflatable swim ring and placed kitty in it with sunglasses on. AND, then "hid" two of the other animals and wrote a note to the boys that they wanted to play "hide n seek". The boys had a blast finding them. Here's a picture of the beach scene:

We never made it to Pepper Market, but fell in love with Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD. YUM! The resort was beautiful and the kids (and Daddy) LOVED the waterslide. We loved our room location and we even took a dip in the quiet pool once while the kids played with their new lightsabers!
Thanks to all on this thread for the great tips!
