I can't believe I'm only 28 days away from my next WDW vacation (and my next stay at CSR!!)!! :scared1: and when I get back it will be 49 till my upcoming F&W trip! :woohoo:

I figured out something kind of funny last night....my trips this year:

May 30 - June 3rd
July 31st - Aug 5th
Sept 24 - Oct 3

I will have spent at least 1 day a month at WDW for 6 consecutive months! (May, June, July, Aug, Sept, Oct!) :lmao:

I'm really hoping that Casitas 1, 2 or 3 will be finished by my next stay. Does anyone know what building is currently down and what one is going down next? Or will they tackle Casitas 1, 2 and 3 as floors like they did for the 4th floor?

JamesLynn hasn't been around for a couple of weeks. The last I knew the last Ranchos building was still down. Not sure how they are going to handle the Casitas buildings. I'll try emailing JamesLynn and see if I get a response.

WOW, we have not been since 2000!!!

That alot of trips to WDW, ever considering somewhere else, its a BIG world out there!!!

Question for you CSR experts; I won a 5 night stay in a water view room at CSR though the last minute travel "World for $1" promotion. I am staying an additional 3 nights with the free dining promotion. I don't want to change rooms so I booked water view for my 3 nights of free dining. I'd rally rather not be paying for the water view. If I change my reservation to standard view for those last few nights what are A. the chances of them putting me in the waterview room to start with and then keeping me in the waterview room for the last 3 nights even though I only paid for a standard or B. downgrading me to a standard for the first part of the trip so I can stay in the same room the whole time. I don't really care too much about the view. I mean it would be nice but I don't really want to pay for it. Also we have a car and being close to parking would be good. So should I downgrade my 3 night reservation standard view?

Not sure how to answer that. We've paid for a "water view" once in seven stays; five of the other six, we were upgraded to water view.

As far as parking, parking surrounds the entire resort...so there is parking by each building so you will have no problems there!

:welcome:

Wow, that is a great savings! So glad you've joined us - everyone is very friendly an happy to answer any question.

KatMark is our resident CSR expert; she is the nicest and best resource here (or just about anywhere when it comes to CSR and lots of other WDW info). :thumbsup2

Happy planning!! :goodvibes

Thank you!!

We're leaving tomorrow!
And a little story... I rarely drive, so I usually take the train everywhere. Yesterday was the first time I drove in quite a long time and all of a sudden, right in front of me is a car with license place "CSR-238"! I kid you not! :rotfl:

Cool. We're leaving tomorrow, too! Thanks everyone for your help answering questions about CSR. I'll report back when we return on July 20th!

Have fun guys!!!! Remember to take lots of pictures!!!! :cool1:

This is the latest from Buzz2001's website:

ROOM REHAB UPDATE!! - Rancho 7b is now complete and the renovation team has begun work on rancho 7a. That brings the total of completed buildings to nine!! The completed buildings are cabana 8a, 8b, 9a and 9b; rancho 6a, 6b and 7b; and casita 4 & 5. The 4th floors in casita 1, 2 & 3 are also done. All that remain are the bottom floors of casita 1, 2 & 3.

I think the last update was a couple of weeks ago.

Hope that helps!

Yep, that was the last info we had. I'm going to contact JamesLynn by email and see if I can get a "new" update. Thanks, Doc!

3 back to back trips! I am going 3 times this year too but going like that would be awesome...Or just staying even longer would be nice. Hmmmmmm gears are turning lol

See you at CSR in Sept :) I am hoping for Casitas 4 for my August trip and Cabanas 9a for my Sept trip as I stayed in that building during my January trip and loved the location :)

We have done the back to back trips once before in 2006! That was Aug/Sept, Oct/Nov, Dec/Jan! :rotfl:

See you at CSR :thumbsup2

We love our travel but we love WDW most! This is the way I put it....some people have a cottage or a trailer that they visit in the summer....we have WDW :thumbsup2

Congratulations! :cheer2: I would be sure the reservations are linked and ask at check-in!

Have a fabulous trip!!! :goodvibes

I guess it's a non issue since there were no standard rooms left for the free dining promotion for my dates. So I'll just have to enjoy my water view!

just got back from 12 nights at csr ill post my review soon... have to recover!!!lol

Looks like you will be there the same time we are. :goodvibes I did this too and got worried, but then remembered that they will have parts of buildings closed for renovations.

It seems our brains work the same way as well ;). I also thought about the renovation thingy.

Almost right after we booked, we called and requested Casitas 4 as per Mario's advise, since it'll be just me and my wife. Is any kind of follow up necessary do you think?

Thanks for posting that link to Buzz's site. Somewhere in the middle of this thread I guess I missed out on what happened to Buzz, I only gathered that he had left, is it inappropriate to ask why or what happened? :confused3

Also, this might sound like a dumb question but does anyone ever catch a bus at the Casitas over to the Cabanas just to use the dig site pool? I'm having a bit of trouble grasping the actual walking distance to the pool. Some people say it is no trouble just a short stroll and others say it is very long and tiring at the end of the day.

Thanks.
