Is there anyway of finding out what has been renovated thus far??

We are leaving in 3 days! Yipeeee but now I am in panic mode. My boss and his family (3 kids with 1 in a stroller) just got back from CSR and actually checked out early because they said that their walk to the pool and to Pepper Market was so far and they were in the Cabana section! Is the walk really THAT bad?? I have originally requested a room in the Cabana section, but now I am worried since it is one of the last stops on the bus route. It does not help that we have never been to WDW in early June so I do not know what to expect crowd wise. I am thinking I may add Casita 4 or 4 to my request....Oh now I am worried! Suggestions please!!!

We were at CSR at the end of April. Our room was in Cabanas 8B and I have no complaints about the walk to the pool, bus stop and main building. As far as bus stop 4 (at the Cabanas) actually it is not the last to get picked up....at least when we were there they always stopped at bus stop 1 at the main building after stop 4. Anyway, we had no problems with the transportation and this is coming from people who always rent a car. Last Oct. when we stayed at POR (which we loved too) we did end up standing several times and by the end of the trip we were using the rental a lot. But at CSR we used the bus most of time except to DTD and only had to stand once......which was at MK closing. Relax and enjoy your trip....I think you will love CSR!!

As of today, all of the Cabanas are done; Ranchos 6A and 6B are done; Casitas 4 and 5 are done and the 4th floor of Castias 1, 2 and 3 are done. As of today, Ranchos 7B is shut down and they are rehabbing that building. That will leave Ranchos 7A, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor of Castias 3 to be completed.

I know others have already responded, but I'd just like to echo that we had no issues whatsoever with the walking/distance. Like you, I was a bit nervous about needing a room near the dig site because it seemed like the resort was so huge and I kept hearing about how far everything was. We wound up being in Casitas 2 (which is just about as far from the pool as anything) and I was pleasantly surprised by the walk to the pool. We have two preschoolers in strollers and they chose to walk (rather than ride) to the pool and back-- and this was after a day at the parks. As long as you don't have any mobility issues, you will be absolutely fine with the distance to any part of the resort.

Haven't heard anything. As soon as I hear that Ranchos 7B is done, I'll let you know what they are working on next.

You have stayed in the Casitas right, which buliding is your fav and why???

Dilema time: I am not sure If I can add a nite to my reservation I am suppose to stay 10-13 but now am thinking I shoukd add a nite 10 -14 of june ....do you think it is too late would I have to stay at a different resort now ???? and because I booked room only i might have to pay a crazy amount ..oh pls tell me your ideas

I just completed my online check in. We are exactly 10 days out. I couldn't have been easier. However, I was not able to put a request in the request area. Not sure what you are supposed to do there.

Anyway, I am super excited! We are celebrating dd's HS Graduation and my 50th birthday.

If you see a crazy woman who looks like she can't possibly be 50 at Epcot on 6/18, wish me a happy birhtday!

We have stay at the Swan, CR, PORS, The All Stars and Pop.....surely we will be fine here! Nothing like the walk at the Value resorts!!!

Just wanted to add a note of reassurance! We've also stayed at POP/Dolphin/PORS, and our walk at Poly, GF, CR and AKL were much further than our room on the backside of the last 50's bldg as comparison. Neither Cabana is long at all ~ you will be fine with all those other resorts under your belt!

It always give me a chuckle that few complain about walks down the very long hallways at BC/YC/BWI/GF/CR/WL/AKL or the walk at the GF or Poly to a bldg or Longhouse and then the long hallway...maybe because these are mostly indoors, but not nearly as pretty as walking by gardens, fountains and/or a lake.

Our last room at GF was at the far end of Boca Chica, so from the monorail it was down the stairs, though the lobby, across a courtyard, elevator to the 3rd floor and then a good walk to our room at the very end...never occurred to us to complain, or any resort walks to our room.

Hope you have a wonderful stay and enjoy the resort! Must say, the buses are among the best of all the resorts!!

The CSR is a tad smaller than the CBR; you will be fine. Depending on what you want to be close to will determine what you would like to "request" (just a request, not a guarantee). Go to the first page of this thread (or second page) and it lists what buildings are close to what.

Aren't you sweet!! I know it's not easy to try a new resort, but CSR is very pretty and the bus stops at the parks are the closest!!! I know you'll appreciate that after the walk to POP bus stops!!

Congratulations. And Happy 50th birthday (since I won't be at Epcot to search you down). I celebrated my 50th birthday at Epcot and felt like I was 21 all over again!!!!

Minnie&Nana - that's a good point about the delue resorts. MY DH and I stayed once at AKL and it took forever to get to our room! And it was down a dark hallway - not pretty at all .
