Checking in on Sat...we faxed our room request off this morning. We requested Cabanas 8. We have a standard view. I can't wait to see the resort in person! Our girls can't wait to swim in the pool. This will be our first stay at a Moderate resort!

I can't believe it is over either. :sad1: It was just the Disney fix I needed until we all go back next year. We packed a lot into two park days - we did MK from 8 am to midnight on Saturday with a pool break, then did three parks on Sunday from 9 am to midnight. We thought of hopping over to Epcot just to do four parks in one day, but we had a fastpass for Toy Story Mania and wanted to ride it for the fourth time that day, so we went back to the Studios instead.

It was very hard to get the girls up for school today! :rotfl2:

Stich, how did you get to ride Toy Story four time. I got one to go on it twice in September. One ride, by fastpass, another ride by standing in the que line for almost 2 hours. Please tell me your secret. Thanks in advance:goodvibes

I have a question. Can plus size people go down the slide. I mean a size 20?

Hi All!

I am back from my stay at Coronado Springs! I had a wonderful time with my whole family. Infact, I booked 2 trips for my parents (one in October and one in December), so that they could come to Disney over their birthdays. We'll be going back to Coronado in December.
I'm going on another Disney vacation next week. Hubby and I are spending 2 nights at Pop as an early anniversary trip, because I got an awesome deal on the Dining Plan.

Okay, we want details (just like from everyone else...no exceptions for CM's. ;)) Which bldg were you all in, how was your view? Did you have a refurbished room?

And you even have trips to look forward to! :yay:

Yep, you were missed. ::yes::

Here was our day (not recommended for the faint of heart):

Arrive at DHS at rope drop (9:00 for us on Sunday).
The FP line will be long - don't get FPs.
Get in the standby line and ride (said 30 minutes, but it was really 20).
Get a FP - lines for FP machines were gone when we got off TSM - our return time was 12:15.
Get back in the standby line to ride again - another 20 minutes.
Do other stuff - we saw the last part of HSM at 10:00 (it was about 10:10 when we got there), ate a snack, saw HSM again (!) at 11:00, watched Beauty and the Beast at 11:30, saw part of HSM a third time (!) at 12:00, got another FP for TSM at 12:15 (return time 6:05).
Ride TSM at 12:15 with first FP. Standby was 50 minutes, I think.
We ate lunch at Prime Time (waited a long time for our table, but the kids were getting tired and hot so they were OK to wait in air conditioning), shopped a little, saw part of the parade and hopped to AK to ride the safari and Kali.
Back to CSR to swim, but it rained and we hung in the room for a bit, then ate dinner at Pepper Market.
Back to DHS for TSM FP (it was about 8:00, but you can use FPs late, just not early). Standby was 80 minutes at 8:00.
Hop to MK for EMH (in the pouring rain) until midnight (we lasted until 11:30).

If we had stayed all day at DHS, it is possible that we could have gotten another FP, but they probably would have run out by then. Our next FP window was about 2:00, but we didn't go back to check.

We were only there for the weekend, so we wanted to maximize our chances to ride our favorites. I wouldn't recommend the schedule for anyone who hadn't been a lot or who wanted to ride more at DHS (my DD6 won't ride TOT or RNR), but it worked great for us to get our Disney fix for the year. My DH (who didn't go with us) was amazed that the kids went so hard for two days, but we wanted to get a lot done in a short time! :thumbsup2

Have a great time! We'll be checking a week from Saturday :) This is our first Disney trip so the boys are ecstatic. We have yet to tell them about it being Star Wars Weekend.

JamesLynn, welcome back...we missed you. I'm so glad you had a great time with your family. I'm so happy you are going back to CSR in December.
Happy Early Anniversary to you and hubby.

I'm going to need you to be my eyes, ears, etc., as we've had to cancel our trip unfortunately for September and we won't be back until some time in 2010. I'll need you to keep all of our CSR friends up to date.

Thank you so very much. For explaining to me the method!! Wow, you guys really toured!!

Now, I know the trick, get a fastpass, after i go in the stand by, after rope drop!!I loved that ride. But, really my kids, were unwilling to stand in the line after such a long wait. But, thanks to you. Now, I have the key!!

Okay, since we're not going to Disney this year and I can't post any Disney pictures, I'm posting this picture of our oldest son (the one who is taking his 14-year old baseball team to Disney in July) with his girlfriend. This was taken Sunday night at her college graduation dinner. They make a cute couple:

Welcome back from vacation. I'm glad you had a good time! We will be there 5/23 - 5/31...maybe we'll see you! Do you work on Saturdays? If everything goes as planned we will be checking in around 12:30pm. Our plane lands at 11:35am.

Hope it works for you both! The queue for TSM is so interesting that the girls were happy to wait in line for a bit - I kept pointing out game pieces and asking them what game it was from. I also took their picture in front of Mr. Potato Head. You miss so much when you only take the FP line - the queue is definitely worth going through at least once. It also helps to be standing in line when they are fresh in the morning - 20 minutes feels like hours when you are hot and tired! :thumbsup2

Hope you both have wonderful trips! :goodvibes
