i have a question about the surcharge. We are planning on having some things delivered from gardengrocer when we travel in Nov ( last time we weren't sure we were going to be able to get DD in the car after we had it packed!) We will be charged for having the stuff delivered to us at the hotel?? Is $20 regardless of how much stuff??

From Buzz's site: "On the thermostat, push the power button and the down arrow (button that adjusts the temp) at the exact same time. If you do this correctly, you will see the letters "bp" where the temp normally shows. You are now bypassing the sensors in the room. You can then set the temp to whatever you want and it keeps the room that cold whether you are in it or not. You might have to do this once a day as the thermostat tends to go back to sensor mode after 24 hours."

Thank you. Printed and placed in my binder!!

Boy, do I feel dumb. :rotfl:

When I saw your question I just had to smile :goodvibes ...I asked the same thing a few months back! And, boy, did I feel dumb too! (would have pm's you, but by the time I saw your question it had already been answered.;))

StitchandPooh'sMom: We got home this afternoon from three nights at CSR. I'm not really a trip report kind of person, but I'll try to hit the highlights.

We arrived at 4:30 Friday afternoon. I had requested Cabanas, faxed a request for Cabanas or a renovated room near the Dig Site, and did online check in. When I checked in (no line at online or the regular line :confused3), we had been placed in Casitas 2. My folder even had a sticker on it with my name and a note to check requests, which I had never noticed before. I asked the very helpful CM if she might have something available in the cabanas since I had requested that and I knew we would be spending time at the pool, and she went off to ask someone else what they could do. She came back with a room in cabana 9B! :cool1:

Thanks so much for taking the time to wrote a TR for us! Glad the CM was able to find you a Cabana room...funny, it was noted on your folder and yet it seems not noticed. :confused3

Sounds like a wonderful, if short ;), visit. Welcome back!! :)

3 Days til we leave and 4 til we arrive!!!

I found the best way to tell my girls they are going to WDW instead of just going to visit their grandpa in Venice!!!

We were at walmart the other day and they had gift bags that were shaped like "Cinderella's Castle" and they have doors on the front that open and inside are 3 or 4 princesses. Perfect!

We plan to put some tshirts we got from disney outlet before xmas on deep sales in there, along with their autograph books/pens, light up necklaces they got at xmas there, along with cameras and maybe a few other little trinkets.

We are driving to Tifton (6 hours) and staying over night on Thurs and will have them out when they wake up on Fri morning, when we will complete the last leg of the drive. I can't wait to see their faces when they realize we are going to WDW!!! I will be sure to take pics and post when we get back!

Thanks everyone for the recent reviews, I am so excited!!! :cool1:

Just arrived back home from 8 nights at CSR and boy did we LOVE IT! :lovestruc
We had a beautiful brand new room in Casitas 4 and I am happy to say I got both of my requests exactly (Casitas 4, Top Floor). I faxed my request 4 days before we arrived. Check in was a breeze and there was no line at all when we checked in at 2 (or the 2 other times I went to the front desk during our stay)

Our room was wonderful! The decoration was great and everything was sparkling and new. They actually changed the shower curtain to a new design on our 3rd day! They were working hard on Casitas 5 the whole time we were there. It was funny to see them unload tractor trailers full of furniture. They would literally have 20 desks or dressers just sitting in the parking lot waiting to be put into the rooms. The only thing I wish I would have known is there is not a DVD player in the room. I could have sworn I remember there being one in a picture from a while back. We ended up buying a cheap one at WalMart as we needed one at home anyway.

We ate at Pepper Market our second evening and I have to say it was the worst meal we had all week. I had chicken fajitas and df had pasta with chicken and it was pretty much unedible. They used the worst quality chicken I had ever seen. It was fatty, stringy, and just plain not good. We ended up leaving most uneaten and grabbing a snack in the park that evening instead. We did not go back the rest of the trip.

We really enjoyed both the Casitas quiet pool and the Dig Site pool. The quiet pool however closed at 9(??) I am assuming that is so it can stay "quiet", but I, like many, enjoy a nice swim after our theme parks some evenings. Even though the pool was closed at 9, there were still swimmers until much later (11:30-ish) including ourselves :rolleyes1. We found a few duckies also enjoyed the pool and had no qualms with swimming with us :rotfl:The dig site pool was a little over-chlorinated for me however, and I ended up having to leave as my nose and mouth began to sting from the chlorine after I got splashed a few times.

We did have a little bit of pixie dust on our stay. We could not get the AP rate for the same cat of room for the whole stay, so I had to break it into a 6 night king room and a 2 night std room ressie. We packed all our things the night before the change over so we could switch rooms (hating that we would have to give up our king bed). When I went to make the switch she basically asked if I would MIND staying in the same room. Uh... no problem! I was very confused with our room charges as there were 3 items that never did show up (tips for 2 meals, and an appetizer paid OOP) I was worried that something did not go through and our servers were not tipped :scared1: but the front desk assured me that if something went wrong we would be contacted.

I have not unloaded the pictures from the camera yet, but I will post some room pics when I get a chance. We will definitely be back to CSR!

Sounds like a great trip!

From what I've read, the pool doesn't use chlorine, it only uses bromine and only the club rooms have the DVD player.

Even if it is bromine instead of chlorine it can and does still cause many of the same symptoms such as stinging eyes ect. Chlorine and bromine are chemically very similar and behave in many of the same ways. That is why it is an alternative to chlorine in pools. It is less harsh, but can still cause stinging and irritation.

I love this thread! I am looking forward to our CSR stay 30th Sept-14th Oct so much :woohoo:

We will be on the DDP for the first time and I've noticed there seems to be abit of confusion over what is classed as a dessert or snack in the Pepper Market - would anyone be able to help me out with what is on the list? It takes 9 hours to get to WDW from the U.K and I will be so jetlagged I won't be able to think!

I've also noticed there is a $20 fee for deliveries? I was hoping to get water delivered from Costco - is this offical?

Many thanks :)

Whatever it was it was brutal on my DD's eyes... everytime she was in the pool, her eyes were red and puffy. Mommy forgot her goggles. LOL... she never let me forget it.

We leave in less then 24 hours :dance3: . We are flying into Sarasota for a couple of days @ Siesta Keys, then on to DW and back to CSR :lovestruc
I need to get packing!!!!!!! I really hate packing :scared:

Welcome back and thank you for your awesome review. I'm so glad that you had a great stay at CSR and got a renovated room and they didn't move you at the end. Can't wait to see the pictures.

I can't believe your trip is over already. Thank you for your awesome report. I am so glad that you enjoyed yet another stay at the CSR and that hte kids loved the Jaguar slide. Even us old people--50+--LOVE IT. :)

I can't believe it is over either. :sad1: It was just the Disney fix I needed until we all go back next year. We packed a lot into two park days - we did MK from 8 am to midnight on Saturday with a pool break, then did three parks on Sunday from 9 am to midnight. We thought of hopping over to Epcot just to do four parks in one day, but we had a fastpass for Toy Story Mania and wanted to ride it for the fourth time that day, so we went back to the Studios instead.

It was very hard to get the girls up for school today! :rotfl2:

I love of hearing about positive stays at CSR! I can't wait until next year. Ah, if it were already December 2009 already! LOL

:woohoo: Three days and you'll be on the road!! :woohoo:

Perfect way to tell your girls...aw, what a great mom!

Thanks girls! I hope it works out and no one slips and says anything to them before we leave!! :scared1: I just might cry! :rotfl:

Got some last min stuff to pick up today at the store and more packing, laundry to do! I want it all ready tomorrow so Thurs morning we only have to get the bathroom stuff together and we are ready to roll!

To answer the questions about the $20 charge. We bought 2 cases of water from Costco and they shipped it fed ex or ups (I cannot remember right now). When I was asked how it was shipped I told them fed ex or ups and they told me there is a $20 fee. I have no idea why it was so much.

Thank you for the additional information regarding the $20 charge.

Has anyone been charged a CSR resort fee ($10 or $20) with a garden grocer delivery? :confused3

thanks.

We were there in Feb. and did not get charged a resort fee for our Garden Grocer delivery. I don't know tho if that got changed since then.
