eeyoresnr, THANKS for the AWESOME pics!!! You had some I have never seen before.............

we just returned last night from 4 days at CSR and had a wonderful stay...
the weather was HOT so the pool was really nice...
we arrived Sunday at about noon and our room was ready:woohoo:we had asked for Cabanas 9A or 8B upstairs....we got 8B and we were upstairs with a wonderful view...I'm uploading pictures to photobucket so I'll be posting them soon...

Great photos!! So glad you enjoyed your stay!!

We had a wonderful stay at CSR from May 2 to 13. We got our requests, even though we didn't check in until 9:30pm (we used online check in ahead of time). We did keep our requests simple (renovated room with preference in the Cabanas, being in the same building as my in-law's). We got our rooms in Cabanas 9A.

So happy you had a wonderful stay! It's good to hear the CM's were so accomodating in helping with the room change.

Thanks to you both fro taking the time to post! :flower3:

Yay! Good for you! Keep checking on the car rental - I got ours for this weekend (3 days) for $68 total (from Alamo), after all fees. Way cheaper than trying to get a car service from Sanford!

Thanks, I will.

Wow, that is really generous of him! That's terrific that you can go on vacation after all. I've heard Marco Island is quite lovely. And it does have something Disney doesn't have--the ocean. :cool1:

Yeah...my husband loves the ocean. And the lawyer who is letting us use his condo said we can sit on the patio and see the dolphins swimming very clearly. :)

Hi Kathy
I'm so glad to hear you're going to be able to take a wonderful trip after call.
Sending you some early pixie dust for a good one!pixiedust:

Thanks. Although I'll miss Disney, I'm really excited about going.

I'm so happy for you! Marco Island is beautiful!!!:thumbsup2

That is what everyone keeps telling me. And one of our "great dining posters" lives in Naples so we're going to hook up for lunch!

I'm new and I love all the information from my fellow Disney lovers! I'm leaving in 15 days and I have a question. Not that I'm an alcoholic but how much would a bottle of wine from the gift shop cost? I'm thinking about just packing a bottle in my suit case. Does anyone have any suggestions?:woohoo:

It's not cheap...but nothing at Disney is.

While we do have the opportunity to make it to Disney this summer, I am a little jealous....I have heard that Marco Island is beautiful!!! I hope you will have a wonderful, relaxing trip!

Thanks. I'll be sure at the time we go to do a report on the "Orlando Hotels & Attractions" board so everyone can see pictures, etc.

My computer is finally up and running again :goodvibes
We got back from CSR a week ago (the 8th), and my mom loved it.
I think my first stay was a little better, but I still had a good time.

I initially didn't get my request, but I politely asked the lady at the front desk if there were any rooms available in the Cabanas section. She said yes, but then asked if I was traveling with someone. I told her no, and she happily moved me to 8B (which kinda surprised me because I asked for that building in my fax).

The renovated rooms were very nice, and the beds were sooo comfortable.

The one thing that really bugged me was Mousekeeping. I've had great service each time I stayed on property. However this visit...it was a bit "off".

Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Glad you had another great stay.

Glad you had a wonderful stay. And your pictures are absolutely terrific. Thank you for sharing. Do you mind if we copy and paste them up into the CSR photo thread?

I'm so happy we had yet another Diser who had a wonderful stay at the CSR. It makes me smile! :)

We got back May 9th from a surprise graduation trip
We stayed 7 nights-
Castias- Building 4 room 4103-King size bed- Updated room

I love CSR- We were right by the quiet pool- which was quiet
Right by bus stop 2- which was great

I LOVE IT THERE- MY FAVORITE Mod by far

If I had to complain- The food prices were high- which I knew- But the food was very good

There were 2 conventions- It did not bother us at all

I will stay there again

Did you have to fax in a request for the room? I called a couple times and was told to call back 10 days prior to our visit? My mother has a small handicap issue and I was told just to call? Is this normal. Should I fax something as well as phone?

I faxed my request 4 days before we arrived:thumbsup2

view from our room

WOW!!! What a great view. I don't spend extra on a room for the view, but that might be the exception...;)

 So sorry I am late in replying to this - was not on the thread, but KatMark pm'd me about your post.

If your mom has any special need(s), please call Special Resort Needs asap (have your reservation number ready for them): 407-939-7807 # 1 .

These CM's will block a room to be sure any needs your mom may have will be met. They are wonderful and there to help!

Even if she does not require a handicap room, they can help - just explain her needs to them.

Please do not hesitate to pm me if I can be of any help. :goodvibes

I wouldn't do it. It's not like you have a balcony. And you could also get a fountain.

You're right, very few rooms have a view like that!!! We have a standard reserved and I plan on keeping it, but to get that view would be a plus!!!:goodvibes

just curious...is the water view extra $$$ per night or can you just request a water view? thanks.

Water view is an extra charge (same as if you book a king room).

hmmm that's what i thought...we booked the king room and paid extra already, and since we don't plan on being in the room much i think i'll skip the water view. never know might get upgraded to a waterview since it's noted on our reservation it's our honeymoon...well more like a 2nd honeymoon but whatever.:woohoo:

It could happen. We've paid water view once in seven stays. In five of the remaining six, we were upgraded to a water view.

yeah i certainly have my fingers crossed. i'm just gonna be happy to stay in one of the new rooms when we go. the old rooms really didn't look that appealing but the new ones looks extremely nice and comfortable.

Last time we had a water-view room (at CBR), it was of a corner of the quiet pool, through the trees! You could barely even SEE water!

Wow, water view is supposed to mean the lake view, not just a pool view room w/ trees in the way.
