I need everyone's objective opinion (be nice though...lol) about an idea I have. Seeing as how I have 1 girl and 3 boys (and my daughter has TONS of clothes) I would focus on making things for my boys. I find a very simple cargo pull-on pant design for my boys...what I would like to do is make one leg entirely one print with a co-ordinating print on the other leg, does this awesome or aweful??I do not want to embarrass my boys like someone in this family got embarrassed by his mother.

I don't know if I'd do 2 prints......... I'd do a print/solid or solid/stripe or maybe both the same solid color, then a cuff of a print on one leg. I just think doing each leg in a different print might be "overkill" esp. if the prints are busy - kwim!!!

Good Luck, let us know what you decide. :goodvibes

I think it would all depend on the 2 prints you choose. You could definitely do 2 different coordinating prints that aren't crazy bright and busy and it would look cool. Also, maybe make them a tiny bit different for each boy jf their weird about all matching.

For example on leg is Thomas with the old leg being blue (as Thomas the tank is blue). Another likes Pirates so I have a Pirate print with a blue solid that matches the blue of the water in the print.

Yes, I think that totally works. I asked my DH (his mom dressed he and his brother in weird matching outfits- I've seen the pix) and he said one leg with a print and the other leg with a solid would be fine.

IMHO, for the 3 and 5 yo, it could work,as others have explained, depending on the fabric. Now the 7yo, unless he is very immature, I dont see that happening. I'm in elementary school education and I cant see any of my boys that age wearing anything past solids. Once again, just my opinion.

We go to Catholic school so the dress code is fairly strict but reasonable. So the boys there don't wear sports jersey's (which have a picture or something on it)???

My DS7 loves the pirates (its black and scary) with the blue to match. He loves character shirts. I think as long we go to Disney, my kids love that fun side of Disney. Wearing what they want to and not caring if other don't like it.
