I booked our non stop Delta flights from BDL to MCO right on the 331st day ahead of departure and then arrival dates. The price back then was a little over $200. Today it is at $390.50!

That is a savings of close to $1200, at least as of today!

Definitely, BOOK EARLY

Very true!

In my market (Boston) the Delta nonstops to Orlando on certain dates such as Sunday after Thanksgiving sell out the cheapest seats right at the 331 day out mark. One time I noticed on line reservations available the evening of the 332'nd dayout and the choices Delta Thanksgiving flights were gone then.

The thread title mentions award tickets but you are commenting on price. Were you booking award tickets or deep discount tickets? Award tickets I suspect also sell out quickly for some dates.

I booked award tickets, but added up what we'd have to pay had we had to purchase them.
