Boy am I lost!

I have been MIA for a few days. The house stuff demands my attention. Yes, I am selling my home and I am buying a new one. Contracts are signed and it looks like it is going to happen. The new house is not far away and very close to the water. I am not lucky enough to be able to see it from my home but it is a block away and the view is beautiful. I am going to get to see it each day as I come and go. We are closing in January and buying and selling very older homes mean a lot of attention to repairs, home inspections etc. I am buying a 1919 home and selling a 1897 home. There is a lot to do to the new house before I can move in. Who does this stuff during Christmas? This is the last time I would pick to be getting reaqdy to move but they picked me I didn't even have my house up for sale!

So I carved out some time today for VMK because I know that weekends always mean new stuff.

Today, nothing! Yikes. This is the first weekend I can remember not having something new to buy. The virtual shopper in my is having a meltdown!

The Halloween decorations are still up? I can't believe it. VMK is like that neighbor that has no taste and leaves their decorations up all year. What is going on!

I barely participated in the Thanksgiving quest and didn't win I didn't think I would but now everyone got a pin for playing! That will teach me to have a life outside of VMK!

I was really counting on Christmas stuff! The real Magic Kingdom does such a spectacular job with Christmas!

Good Luck with the sale of the house!!! Sounds like you will be having an eventful winter. Let me know if what weekends you might be busy, I will keep an eye out for you and grab you stuff that goes on sale.

Welcome back, Lisa. We've moved during December once. It was finals at college and christmas and ... well, I survived it without a nervous breakdown, but I'm sure I was at the edge!

Congratulations on your new (old) house! I've moved twice during december but both times I was lucky to be doing it the first week of december. That is actually kind of nice because the house is uncluttered and you can just bring out Christmas and leave everything else til later. I have even gotten into a habit of packing up a lot of stuff before I deck my halls. The problem comes later when I find boxes of miscellaneous stuff or when I lose something in the shift, lol. We're all chomping at the bit for Christmas stuff too. Maybe we need to try the Peter Pan trick.. I believe.. I believe,everyone think it with me.. I believe..
