I was reading some of the posts on here and noticed a few of you mentioning the bounceback deal? What is that and did you receive notification that you had qualified for it or did you just call and ask?

Thanks

That was a special promotion which had to be booked while you were staying on-site. It ended late last year. Sorry. Oh - and they were real strict that the deal HAD to be booked before you left WDW. :headache:

It was a pilot program, so they weren't really looking for a lot of folks to learn about it and take advantage of it. Word is that they got far more people taking advantage of it than they had planned -- folks hearing about it and then seeking out the kiosk from which you could book the promotion.

I suspect we'll see more "bounce back" promotions in the future.

I was able to book the Bounce Back Program when I was there in Dec and that's exactly what the CM told me. He said Disney was "severely limiting the number of free dining pkgs available to 2007" and the only way to get free dining was going to be through the UK or Bounce Back Program. He was also talking about how shocked everyone (CMs) was that so many people were booking overnight stays just to come down to book the Bounce Back Program. He said that it may have bitten Disney in the foot, as they were already over their quota. (I had already planned a trip for Dec, so was not one of those.) I told him I had a friend who may be interested in the free dining, but couldn't come down before Dec 31st. He said there was no way they were going to get free dining then. He said free dining was going to be limited severely for 2007 because of both restaurants and visitors complaints over the last two years and that the restaurants just couldn't handle it with more and more people knowing about it and packing in the restaurants and that too many visitors were being alienated because they couldn't get into restaurants.

A few days after I got back, I received a post card asking me to log on and do a survey. When I did most of the questions was about the Bounce Back Program, how I liked it, how knowledgeable the CM was, if I had made a special trip down there to book it, and if I would like for Disney to offer similar programs in the future.

Basically this is the same thing the CM told me only he said there had been a bigger than expected response to the UK and bounceback programs than was anticpated and he felt that if it was offered to the general public it would have very limited availability. It was also the first time they had face to face reservation making available and he asked how I liked that. I said I had enjoyed it and thought it was a good idea. I had to make a couple of changes after I got home and spoke with one of the other resrvationsists who had been at the POR kiosk for the bounceback program( I booked mine at BC). She also asked how I liked being able to sit down with a reservationist so that may also be something they were trying out for possible use in the future.

Man...we were just down this December and it had crossed my mind to visit one of the Kiosks but my mother said to wait because we weren't for sure exactly when we were coming back this year. If only I had listened to my intuition......
