Are the AP rates usually discounted the same as a bounceback? Meaning if I book a bounceback for a Deluxe currently I get a 35% discount, does AP usually get the same 35% discount?

Is the availability off the AP discount harder to get? Meaning if I want to book the Beach - I could probably get it as a bounceback but could have a harder time booking it as an AP discount.

Sometimes the AP discount is better and sometimes it's the same (or even less). With that said, if you can get a 35% discount through a BB, I wouldn't count on the AP discount being more than that (just my opinion). I have read reports of people booking under one discount and changing to an AP discount as it was better, but I have also read of people sticking with a BB or GP discount as the AP discount wasn't as good.

As far as availability, your chances are probably the same with an AP discount as with a BB or GP discount. Depending on how many rooms Disney needs to fill will determine availability. As with any discount, the sooner you call, the better your chances are of getting what you want (depending on what's offered).

For about the past 18 months the BB offer has been the same as AP or more. Go with whichever one you get to book first. The BB offer has had some weird availability at some resorts like only royal rooms a lot of dates at POR but not regular rooms. When AP opened up they had some garden rooms for some of those dates.
