Bounceback question.

There was a bounceback offer in our room June '09 but since we had no plans to return at that point I didn't even look at it.

What is the normal time ahead a bounceback covers? Is it usually for returns within the same calendar year? Returns within a specific time frame? Are there ever bounceback offers for more than a year out?

We will be there in January 2011 and in the back of my mind I am thinking March 2012 will be the earliest possibility for another trip. Is that remotely possible or a pipe dream?

Hard to say what they will do, but usually the BB dates you would get to choose from when you stay in January would only be for certain dates up to December of the same year. Sorry to say that any dates in March 2012 would probably not be offered in a January 2011 BB.

But you never know, WDW marketing works in mysterious ways
Good luck!

Deleted - read answer wrong! :)

Thanks Seahunt - that was what I expected but never hurts to ask (and hope!)

different offers work in different ways. It depends what kind of pre-bookings DIsney had to be honest.

Previous poster is correct though, the most common bb offer is one that covers the current calendar year. Disney does not release prices for the upcoming year until early August. We were in WDW in mid-July and could not book a bb for next year.

However, one offer we HAVE been given in the past was free dining for the upcoming year- so about one year in advance. Free dining usually runs mid-August to the start of October, so we could pick any date in that time frame.(If you were at WDW in UAgust, then you could pick a date in late September- so slightly more than year)

Always the bounceback offer will have specific dates, but sometimes the offers cover quite a big time frame (almost all of the cyurrent year)- minus holiday blackout periods. (Like all the weeks around Easter) - AND - ALWAYS Disney only puts so many rooms up for each discount. SO just because a date is included in the offer does NOT mean the resort room you want will be available during the week you want to go. As has been said, it's sort of like a clearance sale; you get teh leftovers. As the year progresses, there will be fewer rooms and dates available with that particular discount code.

If you are there in Jan 2011 an offer for March 2012 is highly unlikey as DIsney does not usually release the upcoming year until August.

However, that doesn't mena you are out of luck...odds are, if you book one stay, but don't book a return trip....Disney will send you at some point, some kind of pin code in the mail or via email. DO look at any promo material that Disney sends you. sometimes the offers are the same as the gneral public gets, sometimes they aren't as good ("free kids" promo), and sometimes they are better.

Thanks mickeyluv'r - lots of great info.

I guess I'll have to hope for some kind of pin somtime during 2011.
