Bounceback Offers

Hi everyone -

I have seen posts where people have said that they were not offered the bounceback free DDP. However, when you check-in, there is a pocket folder that has a lot of info in it for resort guests. In that folder is where the offer was made regarding the bounceback program to resort guests. I had not seen it when I was there in September, but my daughter mentioned it to us. Therefore, we were fortunate enough to get the FDDP in September 2008. Since then, I completely go through any folder in our hotel room, whether a Disney hotel or not. Many times there are local coupons, etc., for hotel guests to use during their stay. So please be sure to go through all papers the hotels give you.

Hope this helps.

It wasn't in all rooms. I was at Pop Century, and nothing. No printed information appeared in my room the entire week.

Fortunately (a) I knew the requirements and the phone extension from the DISBoards :teeth: and (b) even if I didn't, it was 'advertised' on one of the Disney channels in the room.

I missed it and did not know
I joind the dis board just a week or 2 before we went last year
now I am informed
although we are going in December, I will check it out for next year.
TIA all dis ers:grouphug:

When we got to our room last year (POP during free DDP last week in Sept.) there was a flier on the table. DW and me debated the whole week if we should sign up or not. By the end of the week we decided to sign up and the flier was gone. The cleaning people I guess were told to take the fliers because they were going to extend the offer revising the dates on the flier. We found this out when we went to the front desk and ask what happend the free DDP offer. They gave us the new flier and we called before checking out and now will be going on the bounce back last week in Sept. at POP.

That's it!! Then Disney extended the Sept 28th date into Oct. . We were the last week in Sept. so I guess they decided to extend it that week. But I heard many did not get this flier or know it was on the tv.

We were at SSR and were not given anything in our folder or in room, nor was a bounceback offer specified on the resort TV. I think that was the case for a lot if people (at different WDW resorts), they simply did not know about bounceback free DDP 2008 and you cannot ask for something you do not know exists!

We found out about it because of the Disboards :goodvibes and will now always check before we go and while we are down, even if we have to pay to hook up to the net a day or two while there! :thumbsup2

I was able to get the bounceback last September for this year. I got the flyer at check-in. But the year before I was staying at a DVC resort when they offered it in November-December, 2006 for 2007. I knew nothing about it until I got home. I had to wait for the public offer. I think they probably don't offer it to DVC members staying on points.

We were offered free dining by a flyer last August while at POR for Sept 08, booked while we were there.

REALLY hoping to get late August though as the Sept trip would just be a long weekend and we like a week or more, so holding out and booked a room for August too!! Who knows, LOL!

I am new at this and after traveling to WDW approximately 15 times I have never heard of bounceback!!!:goodvibes

But now I have a few questions.

If I don't see a flier does that mean I can't ask, or that I probably won't be able to get it (with or without free dining)?

Has anyone ever done it at the GF?

Sorry, if this has been asked before, but we're going in July and want to be educated before I embarrass myself!!!:flower3:

No. If you know there's a Future Stay promotion (per these boards, or sites such as Mousesavers), you can ask - but the CMs may not know what you're talking about (I remember explaining it to the couple next to me AND their Front Desk CM :)).

If there's not a flyer in your room, that just means there's not a flyer in your room. Watch TV.

We also stayed at Pop Century in September. It's a good thing you understood the process. Hopefully, your case was just a fluke not receiving any information on the bounceback offer.

However, my comment was to inform people who don't go through the papers and info that hotels give to hotel guests (not just Disney hotels). Many times there are local coupons for guests to use while on vacation, not to mention a lot of useful information.

We stayed at Pop Century in November, Thanksgiving week, we had a flyer in our folder, and at Boardwalk Villa when we checked in there we also had one in our folder there. But i looked through the folders a couple of times before i noticed the discount flyers , it was very noticeable.

We were @ CBR the last week of Sept. 2007. There was no flier in the room or in our check in packet. It was all over the resort channel though. It gave you a phone # to call or just hit a certain extension on the room phone.

Lucky for me I am a faithful disboard lurker so I was well informed. :thumbsup2
