Bounceback Information and FAQ Thread - 25-35% off BOUNCEBACKS ARE BACK for 2024/2025! Updated 8/25/2024

The cast member was so helpful and told me to add park tickets because when the ticket prices get raised I would be locked in for this years prices.

It’s helpful as long as you don’t change anything about the reservation. If you change dates or resorts, you’ll pay the current prices for resorts & tickets.

Hey everyone, I made a huge mistake and forgot to book a bounce back before I checked out. Fortunately I received an email when I got home, maybe 2 days later offering me the opportunity to bounce back within 7 days. I don't know if this is new normal or this was a special situation for the month of June. The cast member was so helpful and told me to add park tickets because when the ticket prices get raised I would be locked in for this years prices.

BTW - we were two adults and we booked 3 rooms
It used to be the case pre-COVID. I am happy for the change.

I actually called twice, the first call for two rooms and then decided last minute on the last day to add the third room. They both said I can change anything about the reservation, hotel, people & dates and the only difference in price would be hotel if its a more expensive date like a prime time, which honestly I would expect that

That has not been other people’s experience for many years. Any changes will trigger new prices.

I did not receive an email. I called this morning and was told we can cancel up to 30 days before the visit. There are some blocked out dates. And also it all depends on availability.
I guess I should start looking at dates!

The dates ( & all the information about the offer) are listed in the first post of this thread. The cancellation rules are the same as any other Disney resort reservation. If you book a package, it is 30 days. If you book a room only reservation, it is 5 days, going to 8 days in 2025. The phone CMs have been pushing packages, but you do not need to book a package for a bounceback rate.

oh ... thanks so much for the information! I was only asking her about the cancellation and never mentioned package but she was pushing for me to book. I also realize that she said $200 deposit and after reading about the Bounceback that also is for package.

So glad I have this information on here!

I just booked last week and told same thing. We wanted a villa 1 bedroom but had resorts not released for that time frame yet from DVC. Said to wait and call back at in a few months and check. But told to do a ressie for time and resort incase we couldn't get a dvc property. but also told only change would be the price of the resort would probably be more / different. But we could change it and dates and BB offer would remain the same. IE: 35% off this resort price vs. that resort price. But, discount same.

Of course you can change the resort & dates, just as you always could. Yes, the discount percentage would be the same. But if the price of the room increases, it will be the new price that is discounted, not today’s price. Ex. Room is $400 when 35% bounceback is booked. Price increases to $425 in January. Reservation is changed in February. The new price will be 35% off of $425, not $400.

Look at the terms & conditions on your confirmation email.

As usual, @focusondisney is correct. The offer will not change. It will be 35% deluxe/villas rooms, 30% off moderate rooms, and 25% off value rooms. When modifying, the issue is finding availability with the promo. If the room price has increased and there’s availability with the promo and you make a change, the new base price will apply, pre-discount.

If you don’t make a change, it’s all great, your price will remain the same.

Fortunately, Disney does *not* do true dynamic pricing, so if we see an increase in the room price, it’s not frequent/common and it’s not a large amount (like $20 per night, which after 35% off, it’s even less).

If ticket prices or dining prices increase and you change your package the new prices apply. But if you keep the package the same, the price remains.

It’s smart to grab a room and call in a few months to try to modify for the villas because you only have 7 days to book a bounceback.

I know that 3 bedrooms are normally included in discounts but since it doesn’t list them on the first page, has anyone ever asked about them being included with the bounceback? Looking at Old Key West in particular.

The fine print on the flyer does say:
  • Offer excludes the following room types: campsites, 3-Bedroom Grand Villas, Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows and Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

We just returned from POR two days ago and I was able to book a bounceback for March at POR. They didn't have River View available with the BB discount, so I booked preferred. We are annual passholders, so I used the passholder phone number to book the BB reservation. They still wanted to make it a package but we were able to make a room only reservation when asked. I recommend using the passholder phone number if you are a passholder. It is much quicker. :)

Just returned from BC and was able to book WL CL Resort View for May 2025 with the BB. Again the push to book as a package. I asked about booking it as a room only...but the room category wasn't available that way which I found interesting. Anyways, I booked as a ticketless package for now and will watch other promo's that come out to see if there is a better deal.

Where can I find the passholder phone number?

I booked a bounceback offer. I was told it would be $200 down payment. I replied with room only, please. I wonder if there is an incentive for booking packages. Tickets and dining were also brought to my attention.

Do you just need to check in on one of the days shown on the offer? For instance, can the trip start within one of the dates shown but continue into a date that isn't listed? Do you still get the offer for your entire stay or just he days that are within the dates shown?
