Bounceback- how do you get one?

How do you get a bounceback? Is it offered to everyone during their stay? Just wondering because I never saw anything about it during my last trip (2005 though). Also, if it is available do you have to book it when still in disney? Or do they send you a code after you get back?
Our next trip is in August, just wondering.

They didn't do it so regularly until the past year or so. Now, there's generally a notice in the room with a number to call and a code. If not, check the tv for an ad about it, or call 8844 from your room phone. It's 30% off most resorts and 40% off SSR and OKW right now, I think.

Bouncebacks are not always offered, but as justhat posted they are a lot more common now than they used to be. You have to book before you leave (you cannot get it after you get home, so you need to decide what you will do if it is offered - I suggest booking it, then cancelling if you don't want it after all ). You had to put down $200 to book the free dining BB.

The Bounceback during the Free Dining period last year was to be able to book Free Dining again for the next year.

This was previously posted by mickey2000 (thanks for posting this!) and shows what the Bounceback info sheet in their resort room during free dining last year (2007) looked like. You could book a free dining package a year ahead (for 2008), and didn't have to wait until April the next year - that way you were guaranteed to get free dining plus had best choice of resorts, etc:
