Bounceback 101?

Can someone explain the basics of bounceback. I have a few questions.\
1. Im going in sept with mom sis and kids. would like to book next for dh ds and me is that okay.
2. How does it work?
3. How flexable are the dates. Would book for either Sept or Aug next year but can i change dates.
4. Could I change resorts after booking and do you need to stay at the same resort the next year.
any info would be great because i love to gather all the info before making the decision. I dont know if it makes any difference but we are going Sept 20 to 27 for free dining and staying at POR

1. Yes. You can book for your family as long as you're calling from your resort or while you are checked in at the special number provided on the bounceback flyer. The number is 407-541-5518 from outside the resort or from your room at Extension 8844.

2. The flyer will have the dates that are eligible for bounceback. It will be 30% off deluxes and 40% off DVC property. You can also save 20% off Values and Moderates I believe.

3. You can change dates, but they must be during the dates that bounceback is being offered. You can't just change to any dates you'd like, such as a holiday or any other busy travel season when bounceback is traditionally not offered. This program is offered to boost the slower weeks/months that Disney experiences. Direct from my bounceback flyer: Dates - 1/6-2/2/08, 2/24-3/1/08, 3/30-4/12/08, and 8/10-9/27/08.

4. You can change resorts if you'd like. You do not have to go back to the same resort you've stayed.

You mention you are going in September so just FYI that last year the Bounceback that was offered to guests staying in September through October 12, 2007 was NOT the typical Bounceback room discount for a future stay with various dates to choose from, but was to be able to book the Free Dining package a year ahead instead.

You had to book your next stay while still a guest of the resort using the Bounceback next years Free Dining dates of 8/30-9/27/08, you had to put down a $200 deposit and you had to list the names of the guests who would be on your res.

At the end of last August 2007 and extended through October 12, 2007, instead of a room discount the Bounceback offer to guests staying at a WDW resort was to be able to book the Free Dining package a year in advance for the next year's dates 8/30-9/27/08. That way you were assured of getting the Free Dining package for the next year right then with just a $200 deposit instead of having to wait until April '08 to book, plus you got the best resort availability by being able to book before everyone else.

Of course no one knows what WDW will do this year, but it might be another Bounceback Free Dining offer instead of room discount so be prepared in case you want to book that!
