I've tried to read through all the threads, but I'm still confused. I see CL has moved to the former VP suite. How long is it going to be there and where will the new location be? Thx!

what's the DVC at wlv looking like for next april 2017??? still under massive construction? almost done? we were originally booked here for 2016 but were moved to BCV and now looking ahead to 2017 to see what the project will be doing? We saw part of the construction on the boat ride over to our delicious dinner at Trails end! MMMM had a great trip 2016 and planning 2017. We liked BCV but didnt love it at all. glad we tried it once and now we long to try WLV like we originally planned!!!

In regards to the building that's being built on the shores of Bay Lake, next to the marina, it's been speculated since last year that this building will be a "bar and grill," and will most likely replace Trout Pass bar, but will also offer hot food. There is also speculation that a small bar will be built near the new VWL pool, just as they've built next to the Poly Quiet Pool.

In POST 1, the "project considerations," which is part of the permit package, states there will be "new restaurants."

In the plans (also in POST 1), there are two new buildings being built next to the new VWL pool. One is likely to be a Community Hall and the other hasn't been identified, but may be the new bar or possibly restrooms. However, this is all speculation at this time.

Thank you for the additional detail, I had missed the text on the filing.

So, would this mean that once completed and open, that Trout Pass Bar will be torn down? Sort of sad, but I always did think it was in an awkward location with the walkways going around it. Might not be a horrible thing, and then they can highlight the creek part of the fountain that goes from the pool down to bay lake. It's one of those hidden gems they can't get rid of.

Thanks for posting this amazing video! We arrive in 19 day We have never stayed on club level and I have not told my husband very much about what it all entails, he travels a lot for work so he is hard to impress and has high standards so I was a little nervous about the constructions and how it would affect the club level experience. I have been anxiously waiting for someone to post pics of the temporary lounge so I know what to anticipate. Thanks again for sharing!

As far as where the new location will be, see the below post from @WDWKOOK that was about 17 posts before yours.

The two North Wing Honeymoon Suites are being "reimagined" into the new OFC lounge. The lounge is temporarily located in the VP Suite now. There is a wall up now dividing the corridor where seating and the large window overlooking Bay Lake is. Guests can no longer look out the window to the courtyard/Bay Lake. Wood Nymph posted photos in January.

As far as when it will be in the new location, nobody knows as of now.

I just got back from 5 nights in a Courtyard room at WL. I'm so glad I didn't change our plans, like I was considering due to the construction. While it was noticeable outside near the docks and the pool, it wasn't disturbing or noisy. In the lobby, it wasn't obvious at all unless you knew to look up at the closed off side of the resort. My family wasn't bothered at all. One morning we heard a faint humming that we assumed was construction machinery, but it would not have woken us up. The boats and buses were empty as was Roaring Forks.

anyone know how much longer the new villa pool will take to be complete? I am wondering about the status for April 2017?? I know construction takes time but not sure if this will go into 2018? or sooner

anyone have any insight to my question? I have the chance to book at 11 months out which puts me to May 17th for next april 17th and dont want to risk not having a Villa pool or most amenities still closed? if its a good chance then we book a reg room at POP. Crazy huh?

Sorry, but I don't think anyone knows at this stage. The construction is just said to be "until 2017".

As Admiral points out, no one knows for sure, so there will definitely be a risk involved if the new pool and amenities are a large part of your decision. That being said, Disney/DVC isn't known for timely completion of projects (frankly, few major construction projects actually run on time and on budget), and if PVB is any indication, the construction will very likely bleed into 2018. That's not to say the new pool won't be done before then, but I would guess (and it's only conjecture) that the pool could be one of the final components since that space is currently the staging area for all the other construction zones and buildings. Then again, they might surprise us and finish the new DVC resort early. . .

Last week I was on the phone with Member Services making my reservation for December, the cast member told me that the quiet pool will be open for that week (Dec 29 thru Jan 4). I hope he's correct because I booked.

I really do not see that happening. The booking website says the pool will be closed through 2017. Construction pictures show the pool area being used for the equipment and material of the building they are working on now. The cabins will also need an area for staging their material and equipment. I do not see them even starting the new pool until construction of cabins and all other facilities are at the detailing stage of construction.

How many months behind schedule was the Oasis pool at the Poly? It was at least three months late wasn't it? I therefore don't see the new pool at WL opening before April 2017.

I figured as much! we booked VWL last may 15th for this april 15-22nd but then were moved to BCV due to construction.... was hoping to be able to book it for April 2017, but will think hard before booking at 11 months out and some unknowns.... hmmmm got 2 weeks to decide
