I was fairly skeptical too. I think there might have been a couple of restrictions with ours - or at least the CM said something like they wouldn't work for Wishes FP and things like that but I think when I clicked on them it didn't have that restriction but we didn't try to use them for Wishes.
We stayed at the Lodge last week and used our extra fastpasses each day. No restrictions - no problems. Yes, you can schedule your 3 fastpasses at one park then hop to another park to use the extra. It really helped us stay in the parks longer than usual which, I believe, was the intention when we were offered them. Thankfully there were reasonable standby times at many attractions also so the trip was very enjoyable. No noise or work at the Lodge was evident.
Returned last night with a few construction photos I'll post later. Construction was NO issue...and our room view included the torn up area that was once the Villas pool. There were a few times we heard the "beep~beep~beep" of the equipment but that was mid-afternoon when we were back for a break between parks. The rest of the Lodge was "business as normal". I would have no problem staying in the main Lodge area since construction is now almost 100% Villas area. DD and DGD's were in the Villas and they also had no complaints. The only "problem" might be room views and minimal construction daytime noise if staying in the resort rooms facing the Villas...or the MK. But again, mainly just the room "views". Love this resort property! While others didn't like the idea when the trees were cleared around the boat area, I found I really DID like the new "look". Got some beautiful sunrise photos there and you can now see more of the lake activity, etc. Again, will post photos when I get them sorted and moved into my Photobucket library.
You can use them anywhere they are allowed. Most of the ones given for construction compensation were for any park. So yes, you can use them at Epcot in the morning and your 3 pre-scheduled ones at MK in the evening. You aren't limited to using them at one particular park so if you have several you can mix and match the parks you use them at as well that day if they allow all parks.
Same here. DVC contacted me in July and offered to move us to BEach club. We declined because we wanted to be near MK. I had seen where a few other dvc members had gotten fast passes. He offered one per day for each of us. I asked him to make it two a day and he agreed. Later I read that some people got park passes. We all have AP's except my college age daughter. Sure wish I would have known/thought to ask for her park pass. That would have been a $400+ value. My FP's showed up in my MDE several months ago, I just wasn't sure what to do with them.
We didn't complain. Said we were so nice about all the problems that we were a pleasure to deal with.
We'll be there next month. I would love to get those pins. They sound cute.
