and now I'm thinking I should have just not done it at all. I sat through one of those timeshare presentations at the Tempus Palms resorts. Beautiful resort, loved it. I wasn't going to buy while on vacation though, but we were looking into it seriously. We kept telling them we weren't going to buy until we could go home and look into it some more..."the deal doesn't last, we can't give keep this price for you, once you leave it goes up..." Of course, the more we resisted, the lower the price kept going down until they offered us a sample package. Well, I bit and bought it. The package included 2-3 getaways and one week a the resort, for a two bedroom standard. All of this is good for two years.

Well, I made my reservations yesterday and the rep tells me that for the price that I'm paying, it's for a one bedroom. I take out a copy of my contract and it says specifcally two bedroom standard. He tells me that he has to request a the actual contract from another department and won't be able to call me until Monday to tell me the result. I hope it goes alright. Makes me seriously think that I should have just done sky auction or stuck with priceline. I just really hate it when I'm planning something and it hits a snag that I thought I took care of. Well, at least I still have the contract and it does specifically say that it's for a two bedroom. I'm thankful for that.

I just wanted to see if anyone has ever had any experiences with this kind of thing, but either way I knew you all would be able to empathize.

I purchased a package from Tempus resorts. I had 2 years to use 4 days Orlando and 2 days Daytona. There were many hotels and a couple of resorts. I upgraded to a 2 bedroom at the Palms. They have been very nice to deal with so far. We leave October 16th and ended up with 7 nights at Tempus Palms. I hope it works out. Since I upgraded I am not sure what I am paying total per night. I think it will end up $100 per night or a little more.

Anything you can tell me about resort? Good location? How are pools? Is there much to do at resort? How where condos?

They where accomadating to me, very pleasant to deal with. There was question if I could get into Palms. All worked out so far and I have confirmation. So I hope they take good care of you. I had second thoughts after purchase also.

It's a beautiful resort. It has a golf course, basketball court, tennis courts, mini golf, wading and swimming pools. We looked at a two bedroom and really liked it. The two bedroom standard had a 52 inch tv in the living room, screened in patio, the master bedroom has a tv jacuzzi tub, shower, second bedroom had two doubles and a tv. It also has full kitchen, dining room, a second bathroom, washer, dryer. The living room also has a pull out queen bed. I'm really looking forward to staying there--if I was sold.

It's not too far from the mk gate--if I remember correctly, maybe about 3 miles away. It's also right off of 192 and all thos restaraunts so it's convenient, but still away from all the traffic and noise.

Hi. We are staying there for 4 nights starting Nov 29. I went with them because my mother and father wanted to go this year and I didn't want to stick them alone at the All Stars because they don't want to go to the parks all day with us. Plus it was cheaper then getting two rooms at the AS. Can you tell me about the 90 minute meeting is it really that long and can we get out as soon as it is done? I don't want to be stuck there forever and I hate making decisions before I walk away and think about it!! Can you tell me how long it took to get to the WDW gate? Also, what restaurants are between there and WDW?
'Thanks so much for any info!!!:D

I'm not sure how long it took me to get to the gate, but I believe it was the MK gate that we went to and it was only about 2 miles down the road. It's a great location because it's right off 192. Since it's on a main road, there a so many restaurants, we love seafood, so Angels was great and right on the way, then there's I Hop, all of those other buffet type restaurants. As to the 90 minute meeting, they will of course, have the high pressure sales going on. Just tell them that you wont' be making any decisions while on vacation. They will tell you that the great price is only good while you're there, but you know, with the resale market, you don't even have to worry about that. Make sure that you keep track of your time, because they'll try to go over. My dh hated it, he said it felt like we were a bunch of cattle. I definitley have to agree with him there. It was so loud and crowded. Just don't waver and keep repeating no.

Just one thing about timeshares..no matter how much you like it dont buy from them! You can usually find a unit at most of the resorts in Orlando resale for much cheaper! Check www.tug2.net and the classifieds section...

Thanks for the info. And I will make sure we repeat no over and over. I don't like getting stuck into something I would much rather choose different places to stay each year. And I know there are good rates out there for many places.
