I realize it isn't in WDW, but we are headed to Disney next weekend and I saw an ad for Boston Lobster Feast in my Orlando Visitor Guide. It looks delicious and we were thinking of going. Has anyone gone and what are your opinions?? Thanks so much!

We went 3 years ago for Thanksgiving dinner. It was just, OK.
The lobsters are very small. If you really want seafood buffet this is probably as good as it gets in the WD area. Just don't go expecting it to be like a Hilton Head or Williamsburg buffet, cause it isn't.

Personally, I am from New England so I would stick to local restaurants for any "Boston" lobster feast, LOL!! Just can't picture any real Boston lobsters making it south to Florida! hehehe!

The Unofficial Guide guru's indicate seafood in general does not hold up very well under heat lamps. However, they also say that if the seafood is not up to standards at the time of your visit, there is plenty of other food on the buffets, including prime rib. Author Sehlinger and his compatriots prefer the Boston Lobster Feast at 8735 Int'l Drive and Angel's at 7300 Irlo Bronson.

I would like to hear feedback on these if anyone has been:
Cedar River 7101 S Orange Blossom Trail
Charley's Lobster House 8445 Intl Drive
Crab House 8291 Intl Dr
Shell's Seafood restaurant 3615 W Vine St

I am a west coast seafood junkie transplanted to the midwest. Needless to say, the pickins around here are pretty darned slim. We are hoping for the chance to find a *really* good seafood dinner at one of the off site restaurants.

For anyone interested, the State of Florida posts Restaurant Disciplinary Activity Reports at http://www.state.fl.us/dbpr/hr/rdars/index.shtml . No Orlando area restaurants seem to appear on the Sept 2002 reports, which are the most recent available.

Hi there! In order to get more information about the Boston Lobster Fest, I'm going to transfer this to the Orlando Attractions and Hotels board. Please check there for further replies. Thanks! :)

Hi..Boston Lobster Feast is crowded, loud, and all you would expect at an "all you can eat" huge buffet...but it is lots of food and you can eat 10 lobsters if you want!! Charley's Lobster House (not to be confused with Charly's, no e, Steak House which is one the top 10 steak houses in the US) is an expensive, but very elegant and fancy resaurant....We dropped about 90 dollars for seafood, cheap wine and an appetizer...only you can decide if it's what you like....personally our hands down favorite is Shells on 192 east about 7 miles from Disney...very informal, great seafood and a local favorite...all the salted in the shell peanuts you can eat and the beer is cold!!!....good luck.........Ted
