Hi. I may be going to the Bon Jovi concert in Boston in July. It's at the Gillette center. I was just on Hotwire and it looks like I can get either the Sheraton Boston or the Hilton Boston Back Bay for $89. Seems like a great deal and would be great for us (best friend and I having a girls weekend) Is it close enough to the arena?? We will have a car and can dfrive if we have to but would rather not so we could have a few drinks:rotfl:. Any input would be welcome. tia

it's at Gillete Stadium? Then Boston is too far IMO. YOu should look closer to Foxboro area, or even down towards Providence. Boston is probably a 40 minute drive without traffic from Gillette; Providence is about 25 minutes

don't stay in Boston.
There are lots of hotels much closer to the stadium including:

Holiday Inn (Mansfield and Sharon)
Residence Inn (Foxboro and Norwood)
Courtyard Mariott (Foxboro)
Red Roof Inn (Mansfield)
Comfort Inn (Foxboro)

That's a great rate for July...if you can swing it, I would suggest staying a couple night in Boston to take in the city (before or after the concert).

Whoop whoop...have a great time, i went last tour to Boston for just that reason and had a blast, but this year its NY for my travel shows............

I can almost walk to the stadium from my house.

I can see the blimp in the distance, the fireworks, the jets fly over for playoffs and sometimes hear the bands playing!

There are lots of closer hotels. Look in Foxboro, walpole, Attleboro, sharon, franklin or Providence. All closer than Boston.

The stadium has it's own hotel now called Renaissance Hotel and Spa at Patriots Place. I'm sure it's expensive though but VERY convenient.

Then there's the ones already mentioned above but also...

Comfort Inn - Foxboro
Econo Lodge - Sharon (about a mile away)
Hampton Inn in Franklin and in Norwood

want to rent out a room? :rotfl2:

I was stuck in traffic after a concert for 2 hours!!!

Ha! I could be making some mean money!

Well, I did say 'almost'. It depends on if you enjoy walking or not! I think I live about 3 miles away...unless you go straight through the woods and prison...then it could be even less. :)

Thanks for the info!!We would be going Friday for a Sat concert. maybe I'll stay in Boston Friday night and closer to the stadium for the concert. Honestly, I'm so excited to go away with no kids or DH that I'll stay anywhere, lol!
