Borrowing question

I am looking at a resale contract with an August use year and no 2018 points, and full 2019 points.
If I want to book a reservation for April 2019, borrowing the points from 2019 will make those points available for that reservation in April, 2019 right?

I believe you meant July, 2019. You are essentially borrowing them into the 2018 UY, which is 8/1/18 - 7/31/19.

Points can only be banked during the first 8 months of your UY. Your UY is not a calendar year. Points need to be available during the dates of your stay, not when you make the reservation. Banking moves points one UY forward, borrowing moves points one UY back. Banking and borrowing are final transactions and can not be reversed.
