Our UY is Sept - we will get 210 points

if we are planning a trip that takes 216 points in January and we are booking it now can we borrow the 6 points from next sept or is it because we are booking the trip now we are already borrowing the 210 points from sept 07

in otherwords - to the points count the day you book or the day you check in?

Hi Kurby:

September 1st, 2006 you received 210 DVC points good from then until August 31, 2007, unless you bank them into your 2007 Use Year.

September 1st, 2007 you will receive 210 DVC points good from then until August 31, 2008, unless you bank them into your 2008 Use Year.

You can book a vacation upto 11 months before check out. So if you wanted to book January 1st, 2008 (day-by-day) you could book it starting February 2nd, 2007.

To answer one of your questions, points count when they are used, so for a January 2008 vacation, you will use your September 2007 points, even though you can start booking it February 2, 2007 (Still in your 2006 UY).

So unless you have 6 bankable 2006 UY points left, you would have to borrow 6 2008 UY points to complete your ressie.
