Borrowing from Transferred Points?

I know you can bank points once they are transferred BUT if I transfer some 2024 points to another member, can they then borrow them and use in 2023?

No. Per a DVC rule, points received from a transfer are not allowed to be borrowed.

That said, keep in mind that some people's 2024 use years overlap other people's 2023 use years. What matters is that the transferred points are valid for the dates the receiving member wants to book. Transferred points retain their use year and resort tags.

They don't overlap. I transferred points to someone a year ago. She just texted me wondering if I had any to spare for a may 2023 trip. I have an Oct UY and between our 2 bedroom trip to kidani in November and an upcoming trip to aulani in March, I'm out of 2023 points. I will have some extra in my 2024 though. Just trying to help someone out. She knows I'm honest and trusts me with the transfer. I know you can bank transferred points because that is what she did with the last set, wasn't sure about borrowing them though.

Her May 2023 trip is in your Oct 2022 UY so even if points could be borrowed, your 2024 points would not work

Oops, I meant Oct 2023 points. Regardless, they don't overlap is my point. I won't get more points until October and she was to go in May prior
