EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW BOOKS ARE GROSS!! lol!!
I just finished Confederacy of Dunces. It is now my favorite book, and I am so sad the author comitted suicide. Amazing story how book got published, and it at least i makes me feel like I saw New Orleans before it ot leveled.
hmm.. i've wondered the exact same thing for a long time, and then i decided to just read whatever i came across that looked good, and even if it didn't, i read it anyway.
right now i'm reading The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. SALINGER... so far so good, but im only about 36 pages in.
I agree! I can't find very many good books because I go through them faster than author's write them! I'm from Iowa and a very good site that we were introduced to at school was actually by the govener's wife! She reccomends a book every month and even has the books she reccomended LAST YEAR! If you join her In the Middle Reading Club, you can also view and post comments and recommendations on the books to other people! Also, if you want to buy books brand new (I like them better then library books! haha!) Right now I'm reading "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl" by of course, Anne Frank! Most school libraries and classrooms have this book and I reccomend it to teen girls! It's about a 13 year old Jew that is living in the holocaust. Her family goes into hiding in the attic of a work building so to not be found by Hitler and the German gestapo (police). I will put the 2 good sites I talked about below. Have fun reading! Personal message me if you recommend any books to me!
Abarat by Clive Barker Abarat: Days of Magic, Nights of War (Sequel to Abarat) by Clive Barker
and...*ponders* Dispatches From the Edge by Anderson Cooper
I just finished reading this book called Homecoming by Cynthia Voigt.
It's about this family. Their mom leaves them in a mall parking lot on there way to there Aunt's house out of town. So the oldest girl decides that they're going to find this aunt. So laddyda...they get to the Aunts house and she had died but their cousin was there and she took care of them. But they didn't like it there or whatever and went off to find their grandmother.
It's really really interesting. I'm going to get the sequel tomorrow.
