Books on the states of America?

Im looking to eventually for a trip around America and am looking for a type of guide book that has a couple of pages on each state. Any one got any suggestions? Ox

I have two. Rough Gide to the USA http://www.roughguides.com/website/shop/products/USA.aspx which has good info for each state.

And The Americas book http://www.waterstones.com/waterstonesweb/products/craig+doyle/craig+doyle/the+americas/6316642/ more like a 'coffee table book'. Tells you the best time to go to each place, what special things are happening at that time of year, and some info on them places. Gorgeous pics in that book.
